that's the motto for today!
This is a little piece of art that I made for Tim's idea-ology booth @ CHA...
It's loaded with lots of his findings...the more the better for me.
Take a look...you'll see hinge clips, link chain, foliage, fasteners, mini paper clips, sprocket gear, game spinner, snap, muse token and the new ADORABLE film strip ribbon.
BTW...the film strip is attached with the tiny attacher and the saying is stamped on a journaling tag. Underneath that is a chipboard ATC from Maya Road.
All these goodies on a base that's just 3 x 4 inches!
Like I said...it's loaded!
This was fun.
The saying, the background, the flower and polka dots are all studio 490 stamps.
The flower is stamped on grungepaper and it's inked with broken china distress ink.
That's it for today...dream big and look @ the parts and pieces to see what fits together.
I hope you're inspired to play and ...
make art!

LOVE it!! I may just "borrow" your stamp/journaling tag for the vintage swap in ATT. I've not been quite pleased with the way I've got the wording stamped on - this may be the 'ticket'!
ReplyDeleteWhat is your base piece here? Looks like an old clipboard ... ?
Oh! I made one of your roses last night! Haven't put it on my blog yet, but will. What FUN!
Love it! What are you using to make the dots around the border?
ReplyDeleteIf I run out of (yeah as if I ever will) chipboard pieces, I save beer coasters whenever we go a a restaurant! I've altered lots of beer coasters!
I love this Wendy! I can give you my address just in case, you know you just can't keep everything you make, the house gets cluttered. Ha,Ha,Ha! You did a fabulous job. Colors are great, stamping fab, and the layout of everything is ideal. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThis is the dogs dangley bits! I love the leaves ... it is so small yet so complete - I am leaving your blog completely inspired ... again!
ReplyDeleteWendy -
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love this! As you say it is loaded, but doesn't look busy, everything just flows together wonderfully. I love how your mind thinks. Thanks for sharing.

Your art never ceases to amaze me. What a cool piece. I have some of those atc's so maybe I need to art them up soon! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLove your project! Aww, for just an ounce of your talent.
ReplyDeleteYou have a wonderful way of pulling it all together. Such a lovely piece and thank you for sharing the grunge paper rose. It's amazing.
ReplyDeleteI love that this project is loaded with all of the embellishments and findings yet it doesn't look too busy or cluttered! It all fits together so well.... you have such a good sense of balance!
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteI know - this is my second comment on this post! Wendy, your style has me looking at stamps in a whole new light.....I was a Stampin' Up demonstrator many years ago, and I still own a good 100-150 sets, if not more. I just went through them all, and pulled out about 6 that would stamp up nicely on grunge paper. I have an order in for a few of your sets.....but these will do for now till I get the "real thing"!!
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing, I love it all!
ReplyDeleteI just love your art Wendy...it's always inspiring! Thanks for that. :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous!! I love all the details you put into your art!!!
ReplyDeleteVery cool!!
ReplyDeleteInspired? Cor...not half hun...I love the way you put things together...I have a feeble attempt with your divine stamps on my Blog at the moment...cheers! Hels x
