    Hello Wendy,do you know i'm not sure i'd use it at all.just hang it in front of my work desk OR i'd use it to put a photo of each of my grandchildren behind and put it onto a prepared piece of grungeboard,using distress inks and your stamps, luv georginaxx

    I will use in on a canvas collage I am working on that has a lot of Tim Holtz things on it like adage tickets, keys, word sticks and such. I was not able to get the film strips, tried to order it from ecletric paperie and they were always out, and have had a hard time finding it. I would really love to win some so I could put it on this collage to hang in my craft room.

    I have many things in mind I could use it for. But 2 that I am sure of is. One I have tons of old black and white 40's and 50's photos of my grandparents that I need to scrap. This ribbon would be great to add to the layouts.
    The other is I have some old Slides and photos of when my grandparents went to Jerusalem that I want to use to make a wall hanging/collage for my Mom for Christmas. This ribbon would be a great addition to add to it.

    Love all of your ideas and I Love reading your blog. Every time I do I get inspired to go create something.

    Not sure if it would work, but your comment about having so much that you could wrap it around your house gave me an idea! I think I'd try cutting it and using it as window panes for a MR house.....the big one, of course. The houses have to be my favorite alterable item that they've ever come up with!

    I want to use it on a couple of the "just dream" wall hangings like we did in the workshop. I want to do a project with index prints (like tim did) for my nephew's pictures, I have an idea for a card using the house mouse stamp where he is behind the camera and the filmstrip ribbon will be perfect for that! I know I already ordered some, but I don't think I have enough to wrap around my house yet! lol Wish I could go to st louis this weekend or on the cruise with you in october!     That is a lot of film strip ribbon! I would use it on a graphic 45 vintage album I am doing. It would look great with some heritage pictures of have of my husbands family. I love what you do with grunge paper, you rock!

    Love how you tease the cruisers. Hahaha! Film strip ribbon? I love your use as glasses. It would make a great border on ATC's, use in the memory glass slides as a covering over a vintage photo. I can't wait to get my hands on some of it. Even in the art journals it will make a cool grungy look. Have a blast this weekend!

    Boy are you a tease Wendy! As to what I'd do with the filmstrip ribbon, well the obvious thing would be to add photos to it, either using photo contact sheets or photos I alter in Photoshop Elements. But I think I want to hold it in my hands and do some experimenting with it, let it speak to me. Maybe incorporate it into a piece of jewelry.

    HAHA! Those poor people going on the cruise are going to need a Xanax by the time you get done with them. As for the film strip, I would definitely use some to decorate a chipboard Family album I'm working on right now of my dad and his siblings when they were children growing up during the 1930s and 1940s. I think it will give some of the pages a great vintage look.

    Hmmm, I would have to have it in my hand & let it "tell" me what to do with it but my 1st thoughts are to use it on a card or a tag that will become part of a card...maybe on a scrapbook layout with old photos.

    Well my LSS has received 2 shipments of the film ribbon and sold out before I could even get some. SO, I would love to win a canister of this stuff. I like the size so I ask, what wouldn't you use it on? But with Halloween coming up, it would be great for several Halloween projects.

    I would make a layout (probably of my niece, Alexis) and I would run the filmstrip across the bottom of the layout and put her name (letter by letter) peeking through the openings. The colored pic of your new purchase appears to possibly be large colored cotton balls??? Oh, I also wanted to remind you. Do not forget to pack your camera for your cruise! We want to see lots of pictures of the fun you will be having!!! Take care and have a safe trip to St. Louis...

    Isn't it obvious how I'd use it? In my scrapbooks and making cards. LOL!! I am in the process of making "A Week In the Life" scrapbook and I would DEFINITELY use it in there. I have all my pictures taken..just collected supplies to use and this would be GREAT!! ;-)

    I'm thinking of using it for wedding favors for my niece's wedding. Each wedding attendee will get a mini-shopping bag (the bride is a shopaholic) with a lottery ticket in it "Lucky in Love", and I am thinking of putting the film ribbon around the shopping bag.

    My daughter graduated from high school and I was thinking of a scrapbook layout using little snapshots from over the school years to highlight her journey.     I'm completely uninspired by the film. I mean, I could weave ribbon through it for a funky embellishment. And then weave the film strip into a fabric and make a mask from it. Or use it in collaged soldered pendants. Maybe it to frame letters in a word - probably Bite Me! Or put it over tiny images of cities I love to make a little travelogue.

    But other than that, I'm completely uninspired!

    I would like to use it if I can WIN it on a photo album I am working on for my kids. My father was big on taking pictures of our family growing up and I do the same and I am working on a generation album to give each of my 3 children. I am using the old slide covers also and I think the film strip would be PERFECT for a border on each page. Thank you for inspiring me. I am working on getting all of your stamps - I have 10 so I am getting there. So much fun to create with.

    I would use the filmstrip ribbon on my page that showcases one of our family Christmas days last year. We celebrated Christmas once a week for the 4 weeks in December last year. Each week had a different theme, one of which was "the MOVIE week". I am also making a story box about last Christmas and I would also use it there.

    I'd like to try the ribbon on a Christmas package using a grunged up "Wendy" poinsettia for a bow. It would also be great for scrapbooking mini photos taken at Universal Studios and Grauman's Chinese Theater.

    I'd use Tim's film strip ribbon as a neck cord to make a necklace with and attach one of Wendy's grunge flowers. Then I can have two of my favorite artists close to me at all times.     First I want to see if I can play with the new alcohol ink pens on it and test if inchies fit inside the frames and if so I am not telling the rest of the story cause it is a Christmas surprise.     HI Wendy!

    When my son was four years old, he get his first camera, a one-time camera who was waterproof. I let him do what he want with it. He make a bunch of funny pictures. When I get it back it was a indexpage with samll pictures in the envelope. I want to use this in the filmstrips behind the bigger pictures in his album. It will also be perfect to use in tags.
    I can't wait to get this filmstrip in my hands....

    I love this ribbon and I would use it with the little teeny tiny pics you get when you order pics. You know, the index i guess you could call it.
    I would cut them up and actually adhere them to the ribbon and make a page or a card or a tag.

    I'm not sure what I would use the ribbon for yet, but I know if I had some I would find many uses for it. I do a lot of tags and ATC's and I think it would be perfect to use it on them with old black & white or even Sepia photos. Thanks for the chance to win this wonderful ribbon.

    I have a great idea for the TH film strip....there are b&w photos from the Lake Crescent in the 1970's. I am floating around in an innertube in the Florida Sunshine. The filmstrip will be a great accent to these photos.

    Probably the most important thing I learned from one of Wendy's classes at StampFest in Orlando, Florida was to take ordinary objects and incorporate them in unexpected and delightful ways. I'm sure there will be many creative ways to use the filmstrip ribbon other than the obvious.

    If I did win the filmstrip ribbon I would use some of it on a collage I have in mind for a family member's birthday. As for the rest of it...I'm sure I could figure out more uses. The cruise is sounding better every time it is mentioned. Maybe you will do it again next year. By then maybe I will have figured out a way for me to be able to be gone that long.

    Hi there,
    I will use the ribbon when I scrapbook the photos of my son making a movie...he discovered that our computer had a movie program..it was so cool to watch him go around our house taking photos and then taking those photos and working with his Dad to put them in the movie program with words...His Dad even burned it to a disc whihc my son flipped with excitement over!...gotta love being 7 yr old!

    Film Strip Ribbon! OMG.. Love it! I can't seem to get the image of the piece that had two ribbon "squares" over the eyes of a stamped face. Loved that. I totally see me using the ribbon as part of my collage art. But I can also see it in my scrapbooking as travel snipets (photos behind)and or photo shoot "out takes".     Film strip ribbon would be perfect for... making art! I love to do thumb print pics to get more on a layout so that is what I'd use it for. :-)

    How would I use the filmstrip ribbon? Wow! It's so great, it'd make a terrific border on so many pieces and I'd love to fill in the individual windows and see what develops there, too. Thanks for such a great blog, Wendy, and for such great stamps! love them.

    I am dying to get my hands on these, they are really "must haves"! I'll fill the windows with words and vintage photos, flowers, butterflies, you name it, when I get my hands on these film strips...they'll be on every piece of paper and altered art I make! Hugz for the opportunity GF!

    I'm thinking of a series of pics of my niece riding the bike, or baby eating cake. You know those photos which you can't choose one of, all are important and cute.
    Or an ornament - I haven't thought of exactly how to make it up. Pls send me some so that I can try. hee!

    I would use the filmstrip ribbon to hang an altered piece I am doing for my scrap room and I would also use it on cards. Got to go to For Keeps Sake today to the truck show, love your stamps, wish I could have been there when you were.

    Firstly Wendy, does the little idea you've got brewing involve wool tops perhaps? ;) I do hope not having a really good idea or wacky idea for the filmstrip will preclude me as I'm not good with ideas. It would work great with my 'Vintage Nudes' stamp however and some may find it's way onto one or two Christmas cards as windows :)

    Hey Wendy! I thought of an idea to use the sample Film Strip on the outside of the packages. Cut a slit down to the eyelet, with you Handy Dandy Tim Holz scissors, being careful not to cut the Film. Remove eyelet, texture hammer tighter around ribbon.

    Cont.~ Create a BANNER stamping a letter (in StazOn?) on each ribbon and making spacers with the teeniest Grungeflower you have ever seen on a ribbon. Example: (flower-film) ART (flower-film) BY (flowerfilm) WENDY (flowerfilm)... itwould make a neat little booth decoration or maybe part of a necklace. I don't know if this will work because I've never had the honor of holding Film Strip ribbon in my hands, but it came to me... Yeah like the Cruise Kitting Queen has time to try this!

    P.S.~ Jump Idea-Ology jump rings in the eyelets would help them hang straight, and knotting the jump rings on a string would keep them spaced out evenly.

    Some ideas to decorate in style include: life size cut outs of famous actresses and actors, movie reel tins centerpieces (type 'movie reel centerpiece' in search), large clapboards that you personalize, 'walk of fame' stars (you could make your own and include family and friends names on them), and of course balloons with a Hollywood theme.
