First, I want to send congrats to my friend Lori Hassler...
for being chosen as an ARTIST CHOICE winner on Tim's blog...
WHAT AN HONOR!
I first met Lori in one of my classes...then another class & then she was on the Mexico cruise.
Not only is she VERY talented, she's oh so funny too... and her art is quirky cool!
You may remember an earlier post showing a cruise T-Shirt she designed...
Tim & I were both very impressed.
So...I swiped...lifted...borrowed (STOLE) this photo from Tim's blog to show her winning ART!
Congrats again Lori!!!
And now more CONGRATS!!!
This time to my friend from the UK...
Hels Sheridan.
She sent me this exciting news last week, but I wanted to wait 'til I got my copy so that I could share a larger photo...
Not only is her ART published in the Craft Stamper Magazine...
HEL'S MADE THE COVER!!!
AWESOME!
and thanks to Hels...
so did studio 490!!!!!!! YIPPEE!!!
Here's a close look...
And on the inside there's...
MORE ART!
More studio 490...tim's idea-ology swivel clasps & muse token & the banner page, scallop frame & bird are from Maya Road!
How cute that she used the small flower for wings on the Maya Road bird!
I LOVE the background stamp on the Maya Road frame...
Checked off the TO-DO list...
Ranger's designer challenge!...SENT!
New Ranger samples...SENT...
Can't wait to show you!!!
A goodie package to Cher, the random commenter...SENT!
Still ON the TO-DO list...

Maya Road samples to make...
Tim's idea-ology samples to make...
A NEW acrylic cover for the 4th release stamps needs to be done!
YIKES...I best get moving...
But before I go, here's a studio 490 peek....
Rick is like the "comment cop" around here...
he asks about the number of comments daily...
When I told him there were 71...he said...
hey...they deserve a peek...didn't you say you would?
OK dear...whatever...mr comment cop...
The magic number here is 4...
3 obvious...one...NOT
The scroll is a current stamp, so don't count that one...
Not a large share...I HAVE to save stuff for later!
See you tomorrow...
Susan makes another guest artist appearance...
she's an angel & you'll see why...
tomorrow!
until then...

Had breakfast with Lori yesterday; I should have arranged to have lunch with you instead of stopping at the antique store! LOL Lori's motorbike and bird tags were super (as is she!). Love the artwork Hels did - awesome job! Loving the sneak peeks - can't wait to see them in their entirety!
ReplyDeleteEnjoying the sneak peaks, loved seeing the art on the cover. Wish I could do something like that. And hey as another midwesterner, I am totally with you on the raining or cold wave of 60 something that others are experiencing. I will gladly trade places with them for a couple of days. What I wouldn't give to be warm again.

ReplyDeleteMy parents are cruel--they called me yesterday from Arizona...POOL SIDE. Yep, I feel sorry for them. NOT.
Wow! Thanks for the nod again, coming from the Queen of Flowers, that really means something! That Hels is quite the artist, isn't she?? So glad for her about making it on the cover! Just awesome! That mag is great, BTW. The sneak peeks are killin' me. Four you say? Hmm, new flower in the corner, background, another ART stamp, the scroll stamp is a staple of mine.

ReplyDeleteCongrats to Lori!! Hels work is amazing!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the sneak peaks, can't wait till we can see all of them!!
Congrats to Lori & Hels.... awesome projects! I've been thinking about your new stamp releases and since you can only show a few peeks at what is come, I'm wondering if you could share more about your creative process for new stamps. How long does it take you to come up with fresh ideas? Where do you get your inspiration? Do you sketch the designs and have someone "make up" the artwork? The time span between CHA Summer and Winter seems so short....I just wonder how you do it all!!!
ReplyDeleteOMG...I am ROTFLMAO..."Rick, the comment cop". Too funny!! I am intrigued by the sneak peek..esp at the bit in the far lower corner. Hhhmmm...could it be wings, or the edges to a flower petal?? I also like the "distressed looking" font BG...what a tease you are. Can't wait for the big reveal. OK..outta here to tend to the evening drudgery that is homework, dinner, lunches, laundry...blah, blah...blah. I just wanna make art!!! Hisses, Rockin Robin Caldwell
ReplyDeleteFirst time comment leaver here - be gentle with me! My lurking days are over. As warned, I am addicted to roses and was forced to make bunches for Christmas gifts, poor thing. Love this blog, your stamps, your style, the peeks, et al. Must find that magazine, Barnes and Noble perhaps?
