shaken...not stirred...

that was my first thought when I got Ranger's new Perfect Pearls Mists...

Here's why...

Made me think of James Bond...

These mists are awesome...
they are bottles of pure shimmer...
no color...just shimmer.

And since the binder is right in the mix, no special sprays or stinky fixatives are needed...

just mist your art & the shimmer stays put...

it's nice & convenient!

Hey...there's a brand new vintage style challenge blog on the block...

it's sponsored by Simon Says Stamp...

Check it out...
the design team members were just announced a few days ago...
CONGRATS to every one of you!!!

so...grab a beverage & checkout it out...
their first projects are posted...

you will LOVE all their creations...
they are a VERY talented group...

PLUS...
they have an AWESOME giveaway for a lucky someone who joins their challenge.
You gotta enter (make art) to have a chance to win!

Now...
Here's a bit of art from me...

are you surprised to know that the colors I used here are tim's new distress ink colors??

If you want to play along, you'll need Ranger's snow cap white pigment ink too...

I LOVE this look...
it's kind of chalky & you have even more options when using the distress inks...

stay tuned...
HOPEFULLY...
I'll have a tutorial for you on Thursday...

Now about that stamp giveaway...

here's the winner chosen by Paul...

Congrats to...

MA!

Another ultra fab piece of art! Guess I'd better start picking up the pennies in the street so I'll have enough saved up for the mists! They are gorgeous!

Wendy, the piece is lovely; love the rusty hinge color -- not at all what I would have expected. I have to confess a certain amount of jealousy -- how fun to play with the new distress inks!!

Wendy, pleasepleaseplease share your snow cap ink technique asap??? I've been trying it but not with quite the success/look you create - and I love (as you say) the chalky appearance it creates. Your "bit of art" here is so very pretty!
