not since grungeboard has a product completely addicted me so quickly...
it has won my heart...
seriously...
enter tim's redone...
AMAZINGLY FUN...
color washes...
I literally have a million ideas for using these sprays running around in my little brain...
it's all I can think about...
SERIOUSLY!
and I'll prove the point by saying I got up
@ 4:03 am, to make this tag...
the idea wouldn't let me sleep...
lets start @ the beginning...
use tim's tissue tape and add a few strips to a manila tag...
what's cool is that the tape leaves no ugly residue when it's removed...
it's the perfect mask...
mist over the tag with butterscotch color wash...
and you'll have this...
then add some vertical tissue tape strips & mist with sailboat blue to get this...
add some vintage photo distress ink and my script stamp inked with coffee archival...
it's looking better now...
here's another reminder about looking @ all the possibilities...
OK...some might call it a lecture...
whatever...
this yummy tim accoutrement button is GREAT on both sides...
actually, the back side is the perfect flower center...
just chop off the shank...
add some jet black archival...
and now you have 2 options for one button...
then add a little studio 490 stamping...
scallop...
believe...
leaves...
some tim's trimmings misted with butterscotch color wash...
and attached with the tiny attacher...
a grungepaper flower created with sunset orange color wash & a bit of espresso color wash...
misted with the new sunflower sparkle Perfect Pearls Mist...
a little word made from tim's new salvage stickers...
here's the finished tag...
now think of the possibilities...
don't want straight lines??
tear the edges of the tape...
or get out those OLD decorative scissors...
blow off the dust...
& cut the tissue tape...
stamp before removing the tape...
use it on other surfaces...
I could go on & on about these sprays...
I made a few other VERY VERY FUN things with the color washes...
but that's for another post...
stay tuned...
and if you don't have my "clearly for art" yet...
just sayin...
you will want it when you see the new twist I have discovered...
it had me completely freaking out jumping for joy...
it's over the top cool, if I say so myself...
just you wait & see...
it looks NOTHING like the other clearly for art things I've done...
NOTHING!!! I even impressed...ME~
it's not shiny...people are asking...what is that stuff?
just saying...be prepared if you want to play along...
I'll be demoing & showing LOTS of cool techniques this weekend @ the Alliant Energy Center stamp convention in Madison Wi.
hope to see you there...
in the Stampers Anonymous booth...
I'll be the one with the inky fingers...
that is until I use my craft scrubbie...
oh...wait!!!
one more thing...
craft scrubbies make great stocking stuffers for guys...
Rick has one to use in the garage...
it removes grease like a dream...
Christmas is coming...
gotta run now...
time to pack demo stuff so I can...
make art (in Wisconsin)
wendy
ps...I'll be working with Michelle...
Mrs Stampers Anonymous...
I'll do my best to sweet talk her out of some hot off the press rubber...
for a little giveaway here...
I bet Michelle likes comments!
What do YOU think?
This is so you Wendy. Where do you get the ideas. Wish my brain worked like that. Thanks for sharing your art with us.
ReplyDeleteMary
The tag is awesome! And Clearly For Art is AWESOME!!! Let me say that again...AWESOME!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat fabulous ideas!!! Thanks for all the inspiration. Love how you are always thinking of cool and unique ways to use these cool products!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the new and easy way to make a plaid design! Your tag is beautiful. Much easier than the way Tim taught in one of his classes, using a brayer. Let's just say mine didn't look like plaid but a runaway car on the freeway! Have fun this weekend.
ReplyDeleteTrish
When is Stampers Anonymous coming to the Northeast for a show?? Would love to see them! I'm starting to feel like I absolutely NEEEEED some colorwash!
ReplyDeleteLove that tag! Need to get some of the new bottles of colorwash. I have my old ones and maybe need to just get them out and see what they can still do! Thanks for sharing and have fun in Wisconsin!
ReplyDeleteYou are something else Ms. Wendy! I love this tag and what a brilliant idea! I cannot wait to see what you create next.

ReplyDeleteSOME of us can't get to Wisconsin, you know. LOL!
So, when are you going to share your newest stroke of genius with the rest of us?
Eileen in NYC
Over the top, Miss Wendy!!!! Have fun in WI, please, oh please, let Mrs. SA give you some new rubber toys to send out!!!!

ReplyDeleteAnother masterpiece from the amazing Ms. Wendy!!! You've sold me....I want the color washes. I've been sold on the clearly for art since it first came out. It's so much fun to use!
ReplyDeleteOk, that's pretty dang cool. I have an old bottle of the color washes, may have to get it out and play, and of course since I only have one lonely color, I certainly will NEED to buy more. I can't wait to see your new stamp sets, I know they are gonna be out of this world!
ReplyDeleteOh, my gosh - this is WONDERFUL!!! And you could leave bits of the tape on and and ... oh, I want to go home & play NOW! I really shouldn't read your posts while I'm at work, eating lunch! *lol*
ReplyDeleteHave a great time in WI ... hmmm, Ellen could stop packing, swing by & pick me up, we could get Lori ... be in WI ... well, ok, we can dream ..
PLEASE tell Mrs. SA how much we absolutely positively adore her & dear Mr. SA & all of their fun products! (Is it working yet? lol)
Wendy -
ReplyDeleteYou have some busy little "idea" pixies living in your house. They are even waking you up at night to craft now - LOL! But after looking at your tag, I'd forgive them. Gorgeous! I am so loving this!
