let the GIVEAWAY continue!
Rick LOVES mailing packages...
it's job security for the head of shipping & receiving!
today's set is called label it art...
this set has lots of fun stamps, that I reach for often...
the labels are a perfect fit for tim's corked vials...
or my ink bottle art part...
the "serum of art" was designed to fit the new large bottle art part...
and I like it because there are lots of elements that can be used alone...
and a few photos, for a better look...
take note of the seal on the art parts bottle...
just a tiny strip of Ranger's Memory Foil Tape adds the perfect little detail...
and another look @ the labels...
this time I used the tape to add detail to the paintbrush stamp...
it's @ the far left, under the ink bottle...
OK...sorry...sounds like I left out one vital statistic from yesterday's post...
the size of the box used to store ALL my distress stains...
it's 8 3/4 inches square...
it fits the stains perfectly & still has room for a few misters...
here's my very BEST storage tip...
toss the packaging...
when I first started "making art"...
I kept everything IN the packages...
I like nice, neat...organized...
30 years in surgery does that to a person...
then as I collected more & more supplies, I needed a way to gain more space...
the day I tossed ALL the packaging, I'd bet that I tripled my storage space...
this photo shows 12 of tim's ring binders in the original packaging on the right...
and on the left, in a little container with the packaging all gone...
it's a HUGE difference...
try it...
you'll see...
now about yesterday's stamp winner...
congrats to...

Love the samples today - still haven't invested in art parts but the more I see the more I want! One question, is there a special binder to store the Studio 490 stamps in? I tried a regular 3 ring binder I had at home but the stamp cover is too long.
ReplyDeleteI am an organize freak too -- I will take things out of the package but tend to stash the packaging away for future use, so far, haven't used much!
Love today's art - and your organising tips - now off to try my luck at winning today.... can't wait to get home from work (shhh, not meant to be on here) to - Make Art....
ReplyDeleteFabulous stamps!
ReplyDeleteHmmm...I think tossing some packaging is good but some of the packaging can make fabulous embellishments too! I would say "cautiously" toss the packaging LOL
It's always in the details...one of your stamps but something I strongly believe in. One little detail can make a piece of art jump to a work of art. Love all these new sets...want them anyway I can get them...lol!
ReplyDeleteLabel ME ready to use the "Label Art" stamps!!! I already have the vials! Thanks you sooooo much!
ReplyDeleteI love the labels ! They have so many possiblities. Thanks for the chance to win .. have a great day Wendy!

Love the stamp set! I have a very small craft room and was amazed after throwing out packaging the space I had TO BUY MORE STUFF!!!
ReplyDeletePackaging is tossed into a big box to be used to cut up into embellishments with my Vagabond. Love the labels! thanks for another chance to win
ReplyDeleteLove the variety of stamps in this set. I can think of so many uses for them all, especially the labels! Thanks for the storage tips - what a great find and fit your oak box was. I have a couple of Tim's tin paint dauber storage boxes (no longer available) that will hold 20 of the stain bottles perfectly too.
ReplyDeleteWow! Love the stamps, I have the bottles so this would be great to use with. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBut, Wendy, you can't actually TOSS the packaging! Some of it makes great Art Parts!
ReplyDeletehey wendy more great tips as usual..I am loving these art parts...so fun!
ReplyDeleteGreat set - again! Congrats to Eileen.
ReplyDeleteThrowing packaging away is so freeing. Although I do still keep some of the plastic for projects. It's that recycler in me. LOL
ReplyDeleteGreat set, love the samples. Your organizing tips were soo welcomed! I am a hoarder of packaging and need to consolidate better.
ReplyDeleteAnother great stamp set! I was just like you, keeping all the packaging at first, but now I toss some and keep some for projects!
ReplyDeleteI adore these labels!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree about throwing away the packaging. I finally realized that with all the Idea-ology I bought. lol. Problem is, how is it that I'm still running out of space? Oh yeah, I keep buying....lol..
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for shamelessly plugging the group, very much appreciated, and I hope folks will play along!
Great tip. Who amoung us coundn't use more space for our art supplies. Never enough space because we want it ALL!
ReplyDeleteLove your art.
ReplyDeleteyou have the best stuff ever!! Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteI used to save all the packaging to but you are right it saves so much room! Another great stamp set!!!

ReplyDeleteAlways such a treat to stop by your blog for a bit of fun and learning too!
ReplyDeleteThanks for picking me!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love today's sample and this is another must have set. And have it I will!
Like so many of the previous commenters, I do take everything out of the packaging. Trouble is, I also save the packaging.
Let's face it, we are collectors and experts in turning trash to treasure. That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it.
Such cool stamps!! Love hearing how you organize. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteLove the details in today's art. Congrats to Eileen! Love the numbers in this stamp set. It's the accountant in me!
ReplyDeleteLOL! After I saw your cool box yesterday, I actually went to look at my Distress Stains to see if I could figure out what size the box was. Love cool, old boxex like that.
ReplyDeleteHey Wendy tell Rick I am ready for a package to be shipped my way because I am loving those numbers on this set of stamps!
ReplyDeletelove the art!
ReplyDeleteSandra ltb
Congrats to "eyeleeeen" on her win. Sounds like she really needed yesterday's givaway, so I'm happy she got it.
ReplyDeleteI love that you and Tim both have come out with these tiny stamps this past CHA show for the little bottles and what not. It makes them that much cuter when you use them on all the little embellishments. I'd love to win "Label it Art". I really would, I use a lot of tiny little things too and that's why.
Wendy I have to say that I really adore your style. One of the things that I love the best is that you don't have one completed project using your Art Parts and stamps that I couldn't look at and not know that it was yours. I want that for myself one day, I want people to be able to look at something of mine and know automatically that I made it.
You know I love all those labels and the numbers have to have this one. I need to save my pennies!
ReplyDeleteI am going to toss my package just for you! Not sure I can because how will I know what I have . . . okay here I go!
Tossing packaging is the most freeing thing I do in my life. . . When are you coming back to Memory Bound in Ankeny, Iowa???
ReplyDeleteam so ready to actually try more4 stamping for real...I've always been too afraid..soemthing about me always stamping "crooked"...great tips & inspo!
