first of all...
I'm sending a HUGE thank you to everyone who attended my classes this past weekend @ The Stamping Place in Columbia, SC.
we had an awesome group of talented VERY fun gals...
& I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the south...AGAIN!
most of the students had attended my past classes there,
so it was so fun to see you & reconnect again...
from the bottom of my heart...
THANKS for your kindness & hospitality!
and for those of you who sent emails telling me to be safe...
THANKS so much!
hurricane Irene didn't bother us one tiny bit...
the weather was perfect...
not a drop of rain...
& my flights were uneventful...
this past week I got several questions about tim's new distress stain...
specifically the PICKET FENCE...
YES...it does separate...
but you will notice that there is a metal mixing ball in the bottle...
so...shake it up before each use & then stain away...
it's AWESOME!
PICKET FENCE is the only stain that needs to be shaken before you use it...
NONE of the other colors have that little ball...
now moving on to the "perfect trio" part of the post...
when I was @ CHA this past July,
I did a video for Christine from SCRAP TIME...
Christine is from Canada & uploads LOTS of videos which are really cool & provide TONS of free inspiration...
check it out...
this time I showed "art parts" with a twist...
in the video I demo this art parts fish...
with the coordinating fish stamp...
using jet black archival ink...
remember...
when dry, Ranger's archival inks allow you to
add water based products (like perfect pearls...distress stains or inks) over the stamped image & the image won't smear or bleed...
you can see the video here, on Christine's site...
I just watched it...
I had to laugh...
it seems like in each video I say something goofy...
this time...I say "WHACK IT" on the table...
instead of tap it...
YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I bet the bosses @ Ranger are really thrilled to have a professional working for them...LOL!
I'll be interested to know what you think of the video...
Christine likes comments too!
have a fun day &...
make art!

Well whack is perfectly understandable to us crafters so I'm sure Ranger is thrilled with your professionalism! :) cute fish!
I'm sorry, "whack it" isn't a technical term? How strange!
The art, as ever is inspiring and beautiful. Thank you. Now could you come on over to the UK and teach please!
And what is wrong with the word WHACK? I wouldn't have even noticed if you hadn't pointed it out! The technique is just great. The Perfect Pearls add just the right touch to make the fish realistic.
Nothing wrong with "whack". When you are in the spotlight (making a video, giving a speech) it can be hard to come up with the right term. It happens every time! You could say tap or shake vigorously. I liked the video. Great tips and techniques. I like how you stamped the art parts. Thank you!
I think whack it covered it perfectly :) I'm glad the hurricane was kind to you. I havne't yet been able to get picket fence distress stain, but I'm patiently waiting for it to his. The water drops are too cute by the fish! Have a great day Wendy.
Love your fish! The video is great - "whack" away!
Nothing wrong with whacking the bottle!! Great video - love the trick with the perfect pearls mist.
You probably got use to saying the word "whack" when that crazy game came out "Whack a Mole" or maybe not. Anyway, I love the technique that you demonstrated using Perfect Pearls Mist as an ink. Stamping with Perfect Pearls is a great idea for that Art Parts fish! I love that fish!
Great tip to get some bling, thanks for sharing the video, lol @ whack it on the table. x
WHACK!!! LOL Too funny. Love the video!
Love it! I'm trying to build up my stamp collection to match the art parts, still yet. The video is great stuff!
Really nice little video there. Would never have thought of picking up the PP from the craft mat? BTW, I used the new Tsukineco Goosebumps over the craft mat and I had a hard time getting it off. Thought I'd pass it along. It's a cool product though.

Cool technique! Thank you for sharing that with us. Glad the weather cooperated with your travels. The East Coast looked pretty scarey this past weekend.
My husband is a fisherman, so I am going to make him a card with the fish idea. Thanks, Wendy!
That is an awesome technique! Thanks so much for sharing the video. BTW when I was @ the Ranger Weekend in PA I told the group all about the EWV yahoo group. Hope to get some new folks joining in with Lori's challenges!
Way too funny!!! "Whack"!!
How whacky, LOL.
whack is fine...tap is sooo sedate! great fish video, love the fish bling tip!
Gotta love ya for being like the rest of us, making us smile and chuckle. So glad you hooked with Christine's site, she was the one I told you about when you were teaching us at scraptales.....I have learned a lot from her as well as from you.. Keep whacking........
Love the detail with Perfect Pearl Mist it's the little touches that make your projects come alive.
Great video and PP idea, will have to try that one!! Keep on a whacking, loved it!!
Wendy, I love the control you achieved by spraying the Perfect Pearls Bronze on the craft sheet first. Now, I have to get the fish! Bette
I have to go shopping! And I think 'whack' is a more appropriate term in some instances than 'tap'!
great video. hey i whack my craft stuff all the time, how else do you get stuff mixed and ungunked?
Great video, Wendy! Love the wacking and happy to see no fishes were harmed in the making of the video, lol.
I learned so much from you this past weekend. I am amazed when I look at the art that you helped to create! Can't wait to attend more classes next year when you return.
This won't really have effect, I think so.
