I have so much to share today...
your poor little eyes will be tired...
this is a LONG post...
let's get started with...
PARISIAN ART...
I've used this set for both art journaling & mixed media pieces too...
as soon as I finish this blog post, I'm off to finish a mini art using the #3 label on the left...
here's PARISIAN ART...
I am IN LOVE with Mr. Cheerio CHAPS...
he's a stout little dude...
kind of funky & out of proportion...
to give you some perspective,
he's 3 1/4 inches tall...
I LOVE to emboss him,
then use tim's markers to style his clothing...
embossing is HOT...
yes...pun intended...
going back to basics has been fun...
if you checked out Ranger's new releases...
you'll see that embossing really is a trend &
HOT HOT HOT !
here's the handsome dude...
if you want him to have wings...
the BEE wings from the B WORD post
fit him perfectly...
as do the small art parts wings we already have...
LE PETIT CHATEAU
I wanted this to use with the art parts residences...
and the 2 house images we have...
& to freshen up those fav stamps...
the bee wings are accented with rock candy distress stickles...
a little bling is good...
this set also has a nice word for journaling
& smash books...
and embossing and the markers...
yes...I AM HOOKED...
that word is ADVENTURE...
what do you need for an adventure?
How about some NEW
BLOSSOM BUCKET vehicles...
here's the HIGH WHEELER
vintage bike...
if you remember when the peeks first started...
you were thinking umbrella...
lol...gotcha!
take a look...
there's really great detail on this piece...
it even has the raised little petal...
and the spokes are raised too...
remember this art parts guy from an earlier release?
just what I envisioned...
him holding the
BLOSSOM BUCKET martini glass...
aka...Eileen's Martini Glass...
the SEDAN
is over the moon AWESOME...
very vintage...
it can easily be a gangster car...
cool to use with old family photos...
it's also a great size for collages & configurations projects...
I hope you can see the detail & dimension on the photo below...
YIPPEE!!
here's a peek at the cover of
book #7...
wondering about the brick wall?
how about the graffiti words
funky & freaky?
drumroll...
they were added with my new...
STENCILS FOR ART...
I had these done for the January show,
but we just ran out of time & couldn't get them produced...
I'm THRILLED that they are being made by...
tada...
STAMPERS ANONYMOUS...
the material is perfect...
it's very strong to take lots of abuse...
and Ted priced them
very reasonably at $4.95 each...
I'm having a blast using them in my art journals & on projects too...
there are
6 STENCIL FOR ART
PACKAGES
being released at CHA
I'll show you 3 today...
here's FUNKY WORDS...
a graffiti-ish style...
I wanted the words straight on the sheet,
so that if you align one edge of the stencil
with the edge of your project,
the words will be perfectly straight every time...
I HEAR you thinking...
she's a control freak...
yes...that's quite possible...
next is
CLASSIC WORDS...
and for sure I HAD to have...
DOTS & STRIPES ...
here's a portion of an art journal page...
using the dots, stripes & classic words stencils...
and the new rose stamp too...
this was FUN...
the next photo is also a journal page, showing that the stripes can be thick or thin...
depending on your stencil placement...
and I have a few tricks to share using the stripes too...
I have been using these stencils
ON THE SLY for several months &
I'm so happy that I can finally talk about them...
phew...
that's day #8...
I warned you this was long!...lol...
tomorrow is FINALE FRIDAY...
I've got some FAVORITES saved...
THANKS so much for the comments, emails & for being Facebook friends too...
I hope you're excited with these new things and that you'll be inspired to...
make art!
wendy
