hmmm...
sounds like an old song...
we're having some work done here &
the jackhammering has me
NUTS already...
they were scheduled for the days I'm visiting THE QUEEN...
but thought they'd surprise us & start early...
lovely...
so...to save the little bit of sanity I have left...
I'm out of here!
shopping is just what I NEED...
it's therapeutic!
hey...I haven't had new shoes in __ weeks!
before I head out, I thought I'd share a fun journal page...
it's created on the lovely
Ranger Specialty Stamping Paper...
using distress inks, my stamps, the polka dot
and my classic words stencils...
the postage mark is stamped in
it goes with everything...
and the postage is a good "filler" stamp for backgrounds...
I stamped this flower stamp,
then just randomly traced around it,
so it looks hand drawn...
I have a very hard time keeping pages flat...
so I HAD to add some of
tim's mini gears as flower centers...
they work well, because they're not too bulky...
next photo...
I like everything finished...
here's the back cover of another art parts art journal...
made from 2 of the large art parts sq frame bases...
the Crop-A-Dile makes holes in art parts very easily...
so you can bind it with rings...
incase you wanted to know that tidbit...
the art parts star is blasted with
but the photo doesn't show it well...
it has a really pretty shimmer...
I'm totally IN LOVE with my flourishes...
and my new
honeycomb background too...
"original art" is stamped with jet black archival &
colored in with the distress markers...
they make it so easy...
a reminder & a little enabling...
STAMPtember continues...
and my DISCOUNT CODE is good thru
Sunday September 30 at 11:59 pm EST...
just type in
WVST20
at checkout, to save 20% on all my stamps...
that's it for today..
I'm outta here...
it's way too noisy to...
make art!
wendy
Beautiful Art as usual! Have fun shopping!
ReplyDeleteGo buy shoes. . . I know your pain my neighbor has been building a whole new house this summer! No peace and quiet all summer long!
ReplyDeleteLove the star and your art. . . man I need to shop soon!
These are beautiful, as per usual and I especially love the star! I think I see a Christmas card inspired by this design!
ReplyDeleteLove it!!!!! Get some COOL footwear!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the journal page ! Happy Shopping .. wish I could go with you !!
ReplyDeleteI love your journal page. Have fun shopping!
ReplyDeleteI hate shoe shopping! But have fun... Hope the work isn't too disruptive... don't want it putting you off your art! Speaking of which, these are fantastic, as always!
ReplyDeleteShopping is very therapeutic, even if it's only window shopping. Just think, the work will be done sooner so your lives can return to normal sooner. At least that's what I've been told...lol! The page is so pretty and I love the idea of drawing around a stamped image to give it the appearance of being hand-drawn.
ReplyDeleteAck! Jackhammering....no wonder you want to leave. lol. Beautiful pages..and yes, I'm in love with the flourishes as well, they're awesome!
ReplyDeleteConstruction zone = shopping. I totally get it, hee, hee. We had our roof replaced recently and these guys started before 6 am. The pounding was nerve racking. Love the pages, especially like the colors on number one.
ReplyDeleteMorning Wendy, I have popped across to your Blog from Hels' Blog as she has been using your products today on her project. I absolutely adore all your Art Parts, and the new stamps and stencils etc are gorgeous, love them all.
ReplyDeleteHope you get some respite from the hammering, have a good day shopping and shoe shopping is the best kind ha ha.
Lots of love from Patricia (in rainy England) xx
Wonderful journal page, love it. Shopping sounds like the right solution to me - have fun!
ReplyDeleteYay for shopping! Shoes sound great. Love the images you've posted today, as usual. Tomorrow, perhaps pics of some new shoes...?!
ReplyDeleteBeen there, done that. We had to waterproof the basement before creating my 'studio' down there, so between the jackhammers and all the concrete dust, I was going out of my mind. but, in the end, it was oh! sooo worth it! Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteLove the kraft colors and the rustic feel. Where do you display the very first thing you had made/published or manufactured? Also, do you keep everything you create?
ReplyDeleteOh I love these! The flowers are gorgeous. I NEED those AP stars (why don't I own any?!) and I am definitely going to buy Cappuccino PPM! Gosh, you are not good for my bank balance!!!
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to tell you had such awful confusion and noise around you because the pages are warm to the heart feeling..love them .makes me want to pick up a pen and start writing.maybe you were thinking of shoes..but it looks like art to me.
ReplyDeletehugs,
susan s.
What can I say? I NEED that Blossom Bucket stash ;-) Love your blog and all the techniques and ideas that spring from your studio!!
