I totally LOVE the challenge
of using products in unique, unintended ways...
I have an example to share below...
this is a wayyy funky art parts ATC...
and you'll see how to change her...
from this...
to this...
like the title says...
it's all about the accessories...
here's the list of supplies you'll need to play along...
I LOVE this tool to hold & insert them!
and to grab lots of other tiny things too...
simple to cut in half with tim's tonic scissors...
2 epoxy dots...(come with the file tabs)
your choice of distress inks...
jet black & vermillion archival ink...
some rhinestones...
scraps of kraft card stock...
grungeboard/chipboard scrap...
- use black to stamp the saying at the bottom of the ATC & clear emboss
- use black to stamp the face on the ATC as shown & clear emboss
- stamp the face 2 more times on a kraft scrap & cut out one full sq. face...again with black
- ink one full face and just the eyes from the second image & add a dot of white to accent the eyes
- cut the file tabs in half & use the drill to add tiny holes for the screw eyes, as shown
- lay the epoxy dots over the extra eyes & trim off excess paper, or use a circle punch
- use jet black to stamp the background over the ATC, but not over the saying, then add your choice of distress inks to the background
- use the left over file tab to create a neck & glue in place as shown on the photo above
- accent the ATC edge with the gold paint dabber
- add vermillion to the lips & dry
- glue the file tab eyes in place over the eyes, add grunge scrap under the face to add dimension, then glue the face over the ATC face, add the screw eyes, the lips & accent the ATC with some coordinating rhinestones
and her she is again...
with the reminder that
YOU are most definitely
a WORK OF ART!
today is all about making kits for the art journal classes...
so...I'm happy that I got to squeeze in this quickie ATC...
ATC's are so much fun to make & trade...
