Blossom Bucket has arrived!

YIPPEE!!!
Cindy promised delivery of my brand new Blossom Bucket
"embellish your art" resin pieces by the end of February...

they're EARLY!

they are here & shipping now!

no long wait...
I'm a very happy girl...

you should start seeing them in your local stores any day...

if you shop on line...
Kim let me know that they have arrived...

in the sample below,

you'll also see the mini stars...
and the berry flower centers...
oops...don't see the black...
but they also come in silver & gold ...

the sample below shows the shopping bag...
you can stamp on it, using any archival ink...
just dry it & it will be permanent...

it has a flat bottom & will sit anywhere you need a shopping bag...

see the new mini scissors sticking out?
too stinkin cute...

here's a sample of my art parts
"create a container" kits for art...
everything you need to create the container is in the kit...
just add the flower center of your choice & ANY inks & background stamps you have...

the flower center is a new Blossom Bucket...
LOVE the tiny details...

I plan to use it alone on a card...
and I'll just draw a stem...
or use a portion of a stamp...

and another favorite...

it coordinates with the spoon from the Blossom Bucket silverware set...
or you can use it alone on a card...

the band aid is so realistic...
and it too has great detail...

other favorites...

ok...I better quit before I list them all...

******************

on the home front...

things are progressing nicely...

the scaffold is gone...
YIPPEE!
and we have some new lights...

still no studio time yet...
and it's killing me...

I didn't realize how much a part of my life art is...

I.  CAN.  NOT. WAIT.  TO...

make art...

SOON...

VERY SOON!
wendy
ps...thanks so much for popping in...
I miss you all...LOTS!

remember me?

hey friends!

I didn't plan on being AWOL for so long...

here's a quick update on the progress so far...

as you can see...total chaos...

but they're making good progress...
the wainscot is going up...
love it...

my cute nephew installing the wainscot...

oops...chopped his head off...

sorry Brian!

and this is a fun find...
while out shopping, we ended up in a small town about an hour from us.
It's Plano, Illinois...

anyway...we spoke with a store owner who was telling us that the new Superman movie was filmed in this tiny town...

they closed down all businesses for 2 weeks...
and filmed several segments of the film there...

the photo below shows a building they painted for the movie...
and the owner asked that they not remove the flag, when the filming was finished...

if you click the photo to see it larger, you'll see SMALLVILLE painted in the lower left corner...

if you attend the movie...watch for this!

he said it will be in theaters on June 14th...

we expect the reno to take about 3 more weeks...

my studio is not being redone, but it's behind a zippered plastic deal to keep out the dust...
so I've not ventured in there...

but...I'm hoping to sneak in there this weekend...
not being in there is much harder that I expected...

talk to me...
tell me what you've been doing!
I miss talking about art...

I hope when I get back in the studio...
that I'll remember how to...

make art!

SSS special SUPER sale!

SIMON SAYS STAMP SPECIAL SUPER SALE!
phew...say that 10 times!

ALL of my new stamps, stencils, art parts & embossing pastes are IN STOCK now at Simon...
and they are celebrating with a

special SALE ON ALL MY PRODUCTS!

awesome!!
thanks so much Heidi!

I'll have the special code you need
at the end of the post...

ok...back to CHA stuff first...

this is another fun little art I made for tim,
using his fun blueprint stamp...
the base is my art parts small creative cover, & it's inked with several colors of distress...

I stamped the dressform a second time on some Clearly For Art, that I covered with Ranger's kraft cardstock...
this allowed me to heat the CFA & make the form much more dimensional...

to create the top portion, I laid a memo pin over a #8, then filled the memo pin with Glossy Accents & set it aside to dry. this usually takes about 4 hours..
when dry, I added a small foliage flower behind it...

I TOTALLY love the screw eyes for securely adding hanging elements...
like the mini pins...

alpha tiles made the title simple...
and I added a small Blossom Bucket metal corner to create the shelf...

I even used my HOARDED idea-ology snaps...
I *may* have to start that write in campaign again...

repeat after me...
Dear Tim...
BRING BACK THE SNAPS!
please!

this next tag uses the new distress paints...

I can't even begin to tell you how much I love them...

I'll be working on tutorials using them...
soon (I hope)...

anyway...this art parts flower is a little different...

I applied a pretty thin layer of my white embossing paste to the flower & dried it...

then added mustard seed distress paint over the dry paste...
I applied it with my finger & dried it...

the paint...
not my finger...
lol...

then to add the darker colors to the flower center, I used several different distress markers...
dried marigold & rusty hinge...
this looks cool..
it's matte & a bit textured too...

those big polka dots are broken china distress ink thru my new polka dotty stencil...

and the last for today...

made into a useable real chalkboard...

just paint the base with Claudine's black gesso...
I gave it 2 coats...
and now it's a real working chalkboard!

LOVE the Blossom Bucket silverware & flower...

oh...can't forget that new art parts tied bow...
it fits so many projects...

here's a link to a video,
that was filmed at CHA by my friends @ SCRAPTIME...

huge thanks Christine & Mark!
