What a great idea! I've done it in the past but not with such great results. I'm betting the distress ink has something to do with that. Of course, the Studio 490 stamps and stencils complete the look!

Wonderful idea! Technical difficulties, ha, ha, ha! So funny that you are excited to use the new stuff but then realize you can't show us just yet. Made me smile today. Thanks.

This is a fun technique. While I've tried it before it's been a long time and I'd forgotten about it. The making part is new to me...love that!

Be careful using alcohol on acrylic grid blocks. It may cause the acrylic to crackle or haze. I found out the hard way. I now use Mr. Clean magic erasers to keep my blocks sparkling.

I love the idea- going to give it a try.
I put handles on the back of my blocks with clear packing tape. run the tape to the center, double it back o itself sticky sides together to make a handle, then run it to the other side. - July 5, 2013 at 3:27 PM
