it's a GIVEAWAY times 6!

since I don't have any new art to share today...
I thought I would share a sneak from my "mixed media tag art journal"... this is one of the techniques we have fun with, using the awesome distress paints...over my translucent embossing paste...

have you seen the new paints?
they are really AWESOME...beautiful fall colors!

see the art parts wings?

now they look like a plant/leaves to me...
things don't always have to be used the original way...

the polka dot leaves are stamped with my new reverse dots background stamp, using fern green archival...
and they are stamped on clearly for art, that I covered with Claudine's sticky back canvas...

we alter the yellow Blossom Bucket flower with distress paint too...

tim's new industrious stickers are my most favorite product from this past CHA...so alterable...so much fun...

    Great tag, as always, Wendy! I sure wish I could get time off from work and take a drive down to take one of your classes! You are still going to Madison in November, right? i am bringing my granddaughter along to meet you and see your art! Victoria is so excited to get to come along.     I don't know your work Wendy, but if I should win these stamps, I would have to definitely check you out to find out what you are all about. I hear your name mentioned often with Tim Holz, so I can kind of guess your stamping style. I don't know Tim's work well, either. I have seen it. I've been around people trying to "do it", but looks complicated to me. It would be a great learning opportunity for me. Right now, I consider myself a "clean" stamper. Have so much to learn. Need the tools to do it, and then the techniques!
