new for CHA W 14…day #4...

welcome back friends!

lol…talk about wild enthusiasm for the new crackled texture paste…
holy cow!

if you think you like it...just wait 'til you try it…!

Ted has ordered another big supply & it will arrive mid to late January…we're trying to be prepared...

ok…today I'll start with 6 new background stamps…

just like the first 6, these are large, cling, red rubber stamps…
and they are available individually…

background stamps are so very versatile…

stamp the whole shebang or use just portions of them...

top left is basket weave…use vertically or horizontally...

and bottom right is dots & dashes…a GREAT background filler…
and just a plain cool background...

below, the top left is  large collage
this one is perfect for small art parts, chipboard, grunge alphas etc...
it's like 9 stamps in one…
the smaller version (art gone postal LCS051) of this is so popular & we had many requests for the same stamp, but a larger size…

this is AWESOME for stamping just one square thru stencils…
the small patterns fit the small bird & butterfly stencils…
and flowers too...

the bottom right is called tic tac toe
in addition to being a nice subtle background...
it's a GREAT filler stamp too…
I LOVE it for journal pages...

top left…vintage doily
this is another that I used in full on larger art journal pages…
and I use small pieces as tag toppers & accent borders…
it's really a fun one to cut out…
or...
press a circle over the center…

and last but not least is the vintage wallpaper
I swear my grandmother had this in a mauve-ish color…
ah...sweet memories...

I have been teasing for a bit about SiSi….our code name for a whole new concept…

SiSi is short for STAMP-IT STENCIL IT…

each SiSi package has a stencil and one or 2 coordinating stamps…

so here's a few ideas on how they work…
there are so many combinations for these guys...
if you're a card maker or want flat art journal pages…these are amazing…

first stamp the image, then lay the stencil over the stamped image…
now you can add ink or stamping thru the stencil while protecting the background! basically, it's a stencil & a mask...

so think about this…
if you don't have markers to color in images, it's  a great way to add archival or distress inks…thru a stencil...

if you want to add a stamped image inside a stamped/stenciled image (to a flat card) without getting any stamping on the background…
now it's possible!

I hope this makes sense…

you can use the stamp alone…
you can use the stencil alone or…
you can combine them…

you can also use the stencil with embossing/texture pastes…

here's another idea…
if you stencil the image first, then stamp the image on another surface & cut it out, you can add it right over the stenciled image & the stencil creates the perfect shadow…with no lines from a stamp, it's really cool!

SiSi's are sized so we can mix & match them & you'll find that they work with current stencils & the flowers on the stamp sets that I showed yesterday…imagine that...

they are all easy to cut out…(I made sure of that…)
so you can use them with Clearly for Art to make the flowers/leaves dimensional or to add multiple layers...

I could go on & on about SiSi's…

and you'll LOVE this…

Ted priced these at just $9.95 each…

so…
you get a red rubber stamp (or 2) & a stencil all for less than $10.00…

THANK YOU TED!

here's the first of 6 brand new SiSi's…
again…all exactly what I LOVE…

FLOWERS!

#1 is called  perfect peony…the name says it all…
it's at the top of my list...

#2 is darling daisies…2 rubber stamps and one stencil = lots of fun!

#3 is a cutie called fresh & funky
lots of open space for adding stamps to the flower petals…
add any text or pattern stamp for loads of possibilities…it never has to look the same...

#4 is the zinnia…OMG…LOVE it!
it's the same stamp as on the framed art set
but for people who don't want sentiments or a frame…they can have the zinnia stamp & coordinating stencil…

wait til you see the sample using my new forget-me not archival…
a blue zinnia? there are no rules for art!

#5 is called build a blossom…it's fun to use these together or to use them with other stamps/stencils…

this set has 2 rubber stamps & a stencil with 2 stencils...

STOP THE PRESS!

#6…this guy really is my favorite…
in full bloom

this SiSi has one nice large size stamp with a stencil…

take a look at the package & you'll see that it's a cool 2 part/layered stencil…

stamp the image, line up the stencil over the image, then ink the leaves…
you'll see the flower is protected…
now move the open flower stencil in place & you can add ink or stamp thru it without getting ink on the leaves…

this one had me cheering when it arrived…
totally for sure #1 on my list…

the flower is a good one to mix with other stems, leaves etc…
or…stamp a second one to layer it…

use the leaves with another flower to totally change them up...

with spring a very long way away...
I'm so happy to have more flowers…
and I'm happy to make them myself!

Ok…was it worth the teasing?

what do you think?

I'll be back tomorrow with the finale…
hope to see you here…

until then…

stay warm &

make art!
wendy

wait…don't go…this post had NO COLOR…
so here's a little peek…
you'll see the vintage doily background, new & current stamps, new stencils & my favorite SiSi on clearly for art…

you can also get a better look at my new leaf green, tree branch & dandelion archival inks with orange blossom & jet black archival…
the background is distress stains...
