HAPPY NEW YEAR my friends!
with CHA fast approaching, it's time to start showing what has kept me busy these last few months…
I have 5 new product days planned…
I'll be back tomorrow, then Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday of next week…
today we start with 6 new stencils…
stencils are very versatile tools...
they are great for cards, art journal pages & mixed media projects…
use them with inks, paints, sprays, embossing powder and embossing pastes…
stamp thru the open areas, use them flat or cut them out to create your own custom embellishments…
I LOVE stencils!
here's the first of 6 for today...
#1 is called
add a stencil…
it makes a great background of any size and
I really LOVE it as a subtle background filler…
use just bits & pieces to fill in select areas of your background…
stencil one color, use several shades of a color or use a different color in each row...
turn the stencil to change the +++'s to xxx's...
it's number #1 on my list...
#2 is called
checkmate…
use it as a background & it's another perfect filler to add small areas of interest & layers to your background…
no wait!
this guy is #1 on my list…
it's flippin awesome used with embossing powders & embossing pastes…
you'll be seeing this guy on lots of my work...
#3 is fun…
it's called
rainy day…
clouds…think about using white embossing paste with them!
the clouds can be used on your flat surface or cut out & layered to be even more dimensional...
raindrops…they look really cool with translucent embossing paste…
and the umbrella is fun stenciled onto any surface…
the umbrella is easy to cut out to create a dimensional embellishment in any color you choose…
just apply paper over clearly for art…
stencil
cut it out,
heat to soften the CFA &
create a dimensional umbrella…
it's…FUN & good for cards & funky art!
#4 really is at the top of my list…
this is called…
little bits…
this stencil contains
little bits of magic…
a mini heart, a single larger star, a row of 5 stars, a butterfly & 2 of the coolest tall skinny flowers…
I had to hide this stencil from myself so that I didn't put those flowers on every single piece I created…
I am NOT kidding...
you can change the look of the flowers by stenciling the stem/leaves, then rotating the stencil & then inking the flower…
this allows us to create several different flowers…
you can also make them shorter by inking any length of the stem...
the stems/leaves are sized to work with current stencils...
and we can combine the 2, to freshen up
LOVE LOVE LOVE this stencil…LOTS!
#5 is called
sunburst…
when I started playing working with this guy I realized that it makes an awesome…
get this...
FLOWER
& best of all…
you can create any size you need for a multiple layer flower…
stay tuned…
used on Clearly for Art…
this is a very fun one too!
I saved this cutie for last…
#6 is called
vintage floral…
you'll also see 2 birds included on this stencil…
a smaller bird & a larger crow type guy…
remember…
just turn the stencil over & you get the mirror image of the stencil for double the fun…
so the birds can face either way...
I have used this on cards, tags & art journal pages too…
just like flowers,
birds fit on about any project you're working on...
I made the flower large enough so that it can be cut out & used with other stencils/stamps…
my goal is to be able to use things more than one way...
but I'll say it again…
I am over the moon EXCITED…
seriously EXCITED with how the stencils, stamps, SiSi's, art parts, ______ & _____ have turned out…
pop back tomorrow…I'm not sure what product category I'll show, but I do know that it will be something NEW…haha!
take care & let me know what you think…
I hope you're EXCITED as I am!
thanks so much for stopping by!
coming soon…

Excited here too! Took May Flaum's stencil class and watched Jennifer McQuires fav's over and over.I am ready to give stencils a try and now know these are the kind I am looking for!
ReplyDeletewow... these are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWow Wendy, i love all of these. Such fabulous new stencils! The small flowers are gorgeous, the background stencils so useful, and I love the clouds, birds and big flower. Thank you for designing such great products!!
ReplyDeleteSIZE MATTERS! I am always amazed when a product is shown and reviewed but the exact size of the stamp or stencil is not clearly indicated. I looked everywhere and could not see it on the image of the packaging or mentioned by the artist. I like your products but I don't buy anything if I don't know the size.
ReplyDelete+ & x for background subtlety…combined w/ embossing paste, a swipe of color to give it a metallic look…lovely.
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE LOVE them all! I usually have a hands down favorite, but girl! you got me on this one. If I have to chose, vintage floral...but only if I have too! Truly do love them all and appreciate the time and thoughtfulness that goes into each and every one of your creations! You are a genius!
ReplyDeleteOh golly Wendy. I need a lie down. Everyone of them is fabulous. I love Rainy Day, Floral and Checkmate, but if I was honest I want them all. Happy Crafting. Hugs Rita xxx
ReplyDeleteI do love your stencils. Sunburst is my favorite.
