ok...you asked...
this is not something I normally do...
but I'm sharing some bits of our home...
I frequently get asked if our house looks like my art...
hmmm...I guess you can decide...
I mentioned a bit ago that I wanted to change things up in our home...it's something I love to do...
REALLY LOVE...
like almost as much as shopping for shoes & making art...
YES...that much...
it makes you focus on things you love...
when they get moved to a new spot...
it makes you love them even more...
dining table all ready to celebrate the 4th!
I love to create mini collages...
art of another kind...
if it has cool graphics I love it!
yes...red geraniums are my most fav flower & why I have red geranium archival ink!
another mini collage on top of the drawer unit that started the idea for the re-do...
perfect book/magazine storage...
convenient access... but hidden...and not messy...
more stuff in the family room...
the opposite family room wall...
yep...more stuff!
family room...
same room...other side...
even the bedroom got a little make over...
this stuff sits on a giant tool cabinet that Rick's grandfather built...
it had 27 coats of paint on it...
I'm not exaggerating...
we had it refinished & it's a prized possession...
and this is what started it all...
this is what I came home to...
an empty room...
full of potential for redecorating fun...
I hope you're inspired to move stuff around...
it's fun...
arrange mini collages and...
make (home) art!
wendy
ps...yes...I do realize that our cleaning chick hates me...
dust...the bad 4 letter word!

Our cleaning chick (i.e. me) loves to move things too - it is the only time they get a 'proper' dusting...
ReplyDeleteLove that shelf about your sofa and the little flag on the dining room table too. You have a beautiful home! Anne x
Beautiful and so like you. Great comfy and cozy feeling. I used to sell accessories and I so love the ones that you have. Especially that "standing tall guy" Fun and inviting home.

ReplyDeleteAs I looked at all the pics of your wonderful "mini collages" I was wondering if you really dusted all that. I'm glad you have a cleaning chick!!!!! We are in the country off a very busy gravel road and the dust is terrible!!!!! You have inspired me though!!! Thanks!!!

ReplyDeleteYour home is definitely a reflection of your art; warm, inviting, and so fun. The color scheme reminds me of your ink pads, too. I love it! Thanks for the lovely tour :)
ReplyDeleteYour home drips creativity, charm and looks a lovely place to be! Thank you for the tour! xx
ReplyDeleteSince you love to rearrange, might I suggest a great book? It's a book about rearranging what you already own to its best advantage. It's called Decorating for Good by Carole Talbott. It's out of print but probably available on Amazon. Maybe your library can get a copy for you. It's my bible!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your design ideas!

ReplyDeleteWow wonderful. Your color palette reflects your spirit...soft, quiet, gentle colors. Yet so lovely. Thanks for sharing so much of yourself..
ReplyDeleteI could have walked in and said "Wendy lives here!". Your home is absolutely YOU! Loved seeing it and yes, it did inspire me think about finishing my decorating projects. Thanks so much for sharing this with us!

Fun!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful home. Love all those displays. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLove your home. The wall art in the third photo, did you make it? If so, would you share how you created it.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I have purchased just about all your stamp sets, all your inks, chipboard and accessories. They are wonderful, I especially appreciate that you show us how to use them. Do you have any plans of coming to Colorado (especially the Denver area)? Will you have any more Blossom Bucket embellishments coming out soon?
Thank you for sharing and creating some really cool art. Love it all.
Dust...what dust??? I need that cleaning chick. Way too many places for my bunnies to hide. You made a house a home.
