TINY embossing powder die cuts & a SALE!

if you're a frequent blog visitor,
you'll know that I HATE to waste art supplies...

so...

here's a quick way to use your
to create custom mini embossed embellishments...

I inked the scrap and sprinkled on the powder, then melted the powder...
now I have this embossed manila scrap...

I placed the dies on the scrap and ran it thru the Vagabond...
I think the Precision base plate is a good investment...
and it makes the thin dies work even better...
I did run it thru 2 times...

I popped the mini hearts out and then put them in the fillable jars for storage...

we have the empty jars to mix & store custom embossing powders,
but I'm really liking them for
storage of small items...
they are easy to see thru &
they take up very little space...

this is a much easier method for embossing really tiny die cuts...
the strip dies are so cool...

I don't have to emboss each individual mini die cut...
the embossing powder is all over...

my scrap was put to good use...
and...

I have some tiny hearts all ready
to embellish my projects...

they're flat, so they won't add bulk to cards or art journal pages, but they're still strong enough for mixed media projects too...

super simple...
and convenient!

won't these be cute using pink peony?

I wanted to share this too...
Dina's fine tip applicators have worked out PERFECTLY for my mini Glossy Accents and the mini multi-medium bottles...
they do NOT fit the large Glossy Accents bottles...

no more CLOGS!
I've been using them for about 2 months
and I'm 100% satisfied...

Linda just notified me that she's having a
special EXTRA 10% off sale at

perfect timing...
so we're all ready for the upcoming
L O N G Memorial Day weekend!

no code is needed...
the prices have been all adjusted...

oh and she also said my
newsprint paper is back in stock...
I'm LOVING it too...

use Glue N Seal to add it to

the only paper adhesive I will recommend...
because...
no bubbles or warping!

the CFA gives the newsprint paper strength and the newsprint paper is AWESOME for stamping on too...

and...

we can ink over it with either distress inks or archival inks...
both are awesome...

just stamp an image in jet black on the newsprint side & use scissors to cut it out...
or die cut the CFA covered with newsprint paper...

this week has been spent making kits and packing for the next art adventure...

next weekend I'll be playing with my friends in Lake Worth, Florida at a wonderful store...

the Saturday class is sold out, but Michelle said she has 5 spots left for the mixed media flip frame class...
here's a single page peek...

it's a fun class that's loaded with techniques using
stamps, stencils, embossing powders, embossing paste, die cuts and LOTS more...

shhh...here's another little peek...

have a GREAT weekend...
take time to (SHOP the sale) and...

make art!

  8. Great idea. I have made little embellishment flowers that were punched out but I hadn't thought of heat embossing - definitely going to try that. Thanks.

  11. Wendy, I have the new Fine Tip Applicator for the mini Glossy Accents. What do you do with the tip already on the bottle...cut it off, pull it out? I know I saw this somewhere but can't find it now that I have the applicators. Thanks.
