I like products with multiple uses...
if you have archival reinkers...
you know they are for reinking your pads...
that's pretty obvious...
use #2...
use them with rubbing alcohol for awesome arty backgrounds...
I've done many posts about this technique...
it's a fun one with really great results...
if you need a technique refresher,
compliments of Scrap-Time...
use #3...
reinkers are really good for
tinting embossing paste,
to create custom colors...
reinkers add very little fluid volume,
so they don't change the consistency of the pastes...
now we have use #4...
custom archival ink pads...
oh yes!
seriously...
IN LOVE...
here's the first custom pad I made...
you'll see a small stripe of
toward the far left...
then some tree branch reinker...
the next is the fern green reinker...
and on the far right
is the lighter/brighter
I had this tree stamp in mind to use
& it's so easy & adorable...
here's my scrap piece, that I used for the test...
I LOVE the progressive variation in the colors...
blending from one to the next...
I'm sure I'll be using this pad a lot,
since I use lots of leaves in my projects...
using this pad will be an easy way to add shading/variation to leaves & stamped images...
here's the second pad I made...
I used only 2 colors of reinkers on this one...
to the left is watering can...
and the other half is tree branch...
it's a gorgeous combo!
I also used a third pad &
added plain old rubbing alcohol...
it may evaporate rather quickly,
but it's a cheap & easy fix
to add more alcohol,
to reactivate it...
I'm anxious to see how long it lasts...
do you want to see how I used that alcohol pad?
I guess you'll have to come back on Monday...
I'll have a tutorial then,
showing a fun background technique...
have some
ready to go...
it works very well......
hmmm...
what other color combos should I try?
some blues?
with violet?
or hydrangea?
forget-me-not with leaf green?
so many color possibilities!...
thinking...
thinking...
thinking...
I'll see you on Monday
with a new technique to use
when YOU...
make art!
wendy

Thanks so much, Wendy, for sharing the sale info!
I had thought that I didn't need the new pads. UNTIL! I saw your custom tree-making colors. Now, I NEED! Always hated trying to match up green and brown and not getting one into t'other when trying to stamp a bloody tree. Problem solved! Wendy, you're a genius!
I tried to create a pad years ago with a piece of Ranger's stamp felt, but then how to store it? The Ziploc bag eventually allowed it to dry out and it was messy...your new product looks like a great solution for creating custom pads. Thanks!
Thank you, my sweet friend! XXOO
Genius ! I love Watering Can I reach for it all the time. Your brown to green idea will be a fan favorite I think.
I am so thrilled about these!!! I want many of them! WOOHOO!!! LOVE that tree!!!
What a great post - so informative - ready, set, off to go..... and try!!! j
The possibilities are endless! I love the way the tree looks, but the watering can looks fabulous too, look forward to trying these! Hugs, Anne xx
I thought I would get away without needing the DIY inkpads...but now I am not so sure. Love your green/brown tree combination. Looking forward to Monday :) Kim
