While shopping last Friday I noticed flowers on everything...
purses, shoes, sweaters, scarves, headbands...jackets.
YIPPEE!!
As I passed an accessory area of my fav store...
I spotted lots of flower pins...
They caught my eye...
they were adorable...
they were pricey...
$45.00 -$48.00 for a layered fabric flower?
CUTE...but I think not...
Enter tim's new tattered floral Sizzix die...
I had a bag started for Goodwill...
things the dryer shrunk...
I'm sure that's what happened...
I fired up the Big Shot Express...
chopped up those old clothes and made FLOWERS...
lots of flowers...
This one is my fav...
because I like the colors...
or maybe it's because I ADORE the button...
no wait...this is my fav...
this one is for my friend who cuts my hair...
she dresses in black 99% of the time...
and always wears a jacket...
and another...
she's nuts...now she's addicted to dies...
let me just say that there are 8 more all cut, layered, stacked & ready to be assembled...
I just need to find the perfect flower center...
Hmmm...
I wonder if there is a Sizzix ANONYMOUS...
Come back tomorrow...
I'll have my post done EARLY...
really early...
You might want to schedule some extra computer blog time...
I'm just sayin...there's fun grungy stuff coming...
tomorrow!
It's a sunny Monday...
a perfect day to...

You did great with those! So glad to hear that flowers are "in"!!! I love them so. Have a great day :-)
As one would expect...simply... wonderful!
Those flowers sure brighten up my view...all I see is fog everywhere. Love all the patterns you put together. Wish I had some clothes to tear apart to make my own blooms!
BEautiful flowers!!!!
Waiting for my dies...
Happy Easter Monday to you and Rick!
Beautiful!!
I NEED this die!! I have been on a homemade flower fetish lately myself!
as georgeous as those flowers are forget that mantra and learn this new one.....................forget the kits and finish the flowers.....forget the kits and finish the flowers
Yummy flowers ... and I'm with Jackie ... forget the kits and keep us entertained :0)
Spring is finally here!!! Just look at all those beautiful flowers! They are darling. I have the die, now I just have to find old clothes (and in my closet that will be easy). Thanks Wendy! Marijane
I really must go and get a Sizzix - those flowers are too darn cute. I didn't realize that a Sizzix would cut through material as well as paper. You've probably created a fellow flower making addict - so I'll see you at the group meeting.
very beautiful flowers!

These are very cool! Love all the layers! And those centers are FAB!
48 bucks??? Seriously? Yours are all fabulous! I took a bunch of flower dies to my sis' house yesterday and let her play cutting fabric. I showed her how and let her go. I was too tired to do anything, but I do have some in the works. And she really, really liked Tim's flowers.
This post is so funny :).I love your flowers. And if it makes you feel better, I'm a Sizzix addict too, and Tim just made it worst...
I love your flowers. Boo, hoo, I don't have a Sizzix... maybe one day, if I win the lottery!
Of all the addictions in the world...somehow I don't think making flowers is one you have to worry about...unless it makes you so oblivious that you don't know notice that your house is on fire!!! Great flower pins(and so green!!!). For those of us that are sort of button addicted(once made a mistake and took a class for a beaded necklace that included antique buttons...well, there my sanity went...have you ever seen such great miniature scenes? This is the addiction you really have to worry about...hours spent combing through jars and cardboards filled with buttons of all sorts...glass, metal, crystal, shell, wood, old plastic...name excapes me...newer stranger stuff. Want to have fun? Go to a button show. Then you'll have too many buttons and the flower making will really start in earnest. Just saying. Stay away. Get that tool from Imaginesce where you can make your own brads...bet that you can cover their brads in matching material...then you can have a button when you need one. A word to the wise. Unless you enjoy talking to yourself. Looking forward to tomorrow!
very, very, very, very cool!!!
Oh, I love them! Are you serious about the prices? I've been making fabric brooches for ages, and if I EVER should get Tim's die that I pre-ordered, I'll be using it for that same purpose!
In the mean time, I use another sizzix die, but those tattered florals are sooooo gorgeous.
Anyway, I just acquired a great button stash, so I'm ready.
My Tattered Floral die will come today....my Tattered Floral die will come today....
Arghhhhhhh!

Oh those are wonderful and yes flowers are every where the bigger the better!

Love the fabric flowers. Just waiting for my die to come that I ordered waaaay tooo long ago. Can't wait to get so I can finally play with it. Make those kits as I am in Saturday's class. Looking forward to what you have for us tomorrow.
lOVE THE FABRIC FLOWERS. i HAVE BEEN MAKING THEM WITH DENIM FORM OLD JEANS FOR A WHILE NOW BUT i AM STILL WAITING FOR MY PREORDER OF TIM'S DIES TO ARRIVE. OOPS, i HIT CAPS LOCK. LOL
Love the fabric layered flowers. What fun... I need to look at making some of those so I will at least feel like spring is here...
Great Flowers, the perfect things to brighten a spring wardrobe.
Love these flowers. Did you put anything on the back of the material before you die cut it or is it just the raw material?
Awesome flowers! I'm glad you remembered the "top secret" surprise you have for us tomorrow. I was going to remind you today!! lol
Take care
Those are awesome flowers! I can't wait to try some! See what happens when you go shopping...you rush home and make something new! Love your shopping trips. Can't wait until tomorrow...but I say that everyday!
~Totally adore those flowers...and I wear black all the time and am more than willing to have a chop at your hair *you may not speak to me afterwards though ROFL* so...one of those ickle flowers would look fab attached to me LOL Can't wait to see whatcha got coming tomorrow! Hugs x
If there is a Sizzix anonymous, I DON'T want to know about it.
Your flower pins are amazing.... gee, I bet that any blogger would be happy to get one if they were given as a prize, hypothetically speaking of course. *grin*
Okay you wacky flower girl - those a beautiful! Love them! Great way to recycle! Can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve tomorrow!
Happy Monday!
You are sooooooo funny. I love the clothes shrinking by the dryer comment .. my dryer does that too ..LOL LOVE LOVE LOVE the flowers .. I have to get that die. Can't wait to see what will be coming up tomorrow !!
i love, love, love your flowers, i have just been thinking about making some of these, i used to make them about 10-15 years ago when we had our business... oh, thanks so much for sharing, now i have GOT to get tim's new die,
I have been on the flower making spree for a couple of weeks now. I spent Easter Sunday making my sister several of these before she left town early this morning and have orders for several more in colors I did not have. Love them!
Beautiful flowers Wendy- jsut like everything you make.
Hugs to you from the beach!
Dawn in SC
this is just what I'm waiting for my die cuts to do! they''re coming into the UK in dribs and drabs but know I'll get mine soon - I can't wait! These are fab!!
I've seen those pins your talking about at various department stores and you're right, they are way over priced and personally I think they look cheaply made for what they are charging. But that's what is so great about us crafters/artist's, we can duplicate those things for far less and in the end they are much nicer in my opinion. I'm not saying this just because I adore you, your artwork and your products, but I truly love your flowers you made here. They have that grundgy feel to them and they are so cute. They will make great gifts to your friends. I can't wait to find some extra money to buy a Big Shot so that I can find some more extra money to buy Tim's dies. I love them all. And I keep thinking that you know from now on at each CHA show he'll be coming out with new ones,so I want to try and get all of these and not get behind once the others come out. I hope you don't mind me talking about Tim and his products on your blog? I kind of think you you two as partners in crime.
Great flowers! I love the flower button!
Love your flowers Wendy! What friend wouldn't want such a treat!?
FAB flowers! If you find you have too many you can always send one to me - I am sure I have the right jacket to wear one on!
Love the flowers Wendy!!! My tattered florals die (and a few others) came in the mail on Saturday. Sadly, I have not had time to play with them yet. I have an I-top, and can see using some fabric to make an I-top brad to match the flowers!! I have more ideas than I have time. Can't wait to see tomorrow's post. With all the build up..I suspect it's going to be awesome. Can't wait. Hugs, Rockin Robin
Ooh fabulous flowers Wendy ;)
Anne xx
Great fabric flowers Wendy! I love that you recycled those clothes bound for Goodwill. Can't wait to see what's in store for us tomorrow.
Susan
Love the flowers!! Great idea - hmm have plenty of things the dryer shrunk too, time to get them out of the bag!!
Fantabulous! I've got some old silk scarves I've been saving, I wonder how they'll work out! I may never sleep again!
These are so so so cute!
What a great idea. I just bought my Tim Holtz flower die. I may have to check my good will bag.
Sue
Your flowers are adorable! I have a few drawers full of fabric just waiting to be cut into flowers. Someday I'll get to it! I have Tim's new die on order so hopefully that will be the kick in the butt I need. Your post here has me inspired. :)
Bee-U-T-Ful Flowers! Tim's vintage buttons would be great as centers. But knowing you, you'll come up with something great! Can't wait!
Oh Boy...I just got that flower die and haven't even used it yet...I'm so inspired now...I may not even sleep tonight!!!
Those flowers are fabulous! I have got to find the die! Just discovered your blog - it's fantastic!

Those are amazing! And I thought I was going green. Maybe I can go cut up some of my clothes for flowers! Love the colors!
Hugs, Pat SMith
Another great idea!! Thank you for sharing!
Super cute! Just last week I cut up 2 shirts rather than take them to Goodwill, because I thought the fabric would be good to stamp on. Oy! Setting a dangerous precedent there. LOL!
The flowers are just darling - may I have one pretty please? I know - just kidding (not really). You are just so incredibly talented and very funny!! I am so glad you share with us!
The flowers are so awsome! Must get my hands on that die!!!
looks like goodwill lost out on some great dryer-shrunken clothes. very nice flowers. my goodwill bag would not yield anything this lovely. but, my cloth scraps, lace and whatever drawer may just have some pieces that would work. must get more dies.
LOVE the fabric flowers :0 Just waiting for my dies to arrive.. sadly no flowers in them..everything but flowers :(
Hope you had a good Easter
xx
Those flowers are adorable! I just got that set of buttons from Tim's Idealogy line today. What fun!
Aloha, Kate
I love the flowers! I am addicted to Sizzix as well--it is a good thing! :)
Wow...these fabric flowers look awesome. I have never seen anything like it.
I do believe I need to cut some fabric flowers... these are wonderful!!
Oooh - so pretty! Heather
OMG, I just bought this last night at Mystic Paper, here in Mesa, AZ. My first Die cut from Tim. I am so happy that you inspired me with this project, I can't wait to use it, now if I can only make the flowers look as pretty as yours!
Thanks so much...Love your stamps and ideas!
Gigi
Love your layered tattered flowers. Would you mind posting the instructions? Looks like there are at least 6 layers. How did you finish the flower so that it can be used as a pin? Thanks for any tips you are able to offer.
