the weekend was...AWESOME!

over the top...
AWESOME.

What fun for me to meet some blog friends...
to be able to put blog friends faces with their names...
TOTALLY FUN!
I now have LOTS of new art friends too. YIPPEE!

The whole store was decorated to the hilt to celebrate national scrapbook week...

I walked in the front door & saw this...

and this...

They even had a welcome sign in the bathroom...ha!

There were LOTS of
AWESOME samples to jump start creativity...

A MILLION thanks to DAWN & KELLIE for the invite...
and to their staff too...
what a nice group of gals...
*
a MILLION thanks to everyone who signed up for classes...
You ALL were wonderful and are a VERY talented group.
yes...I shall return!
*
Next stop on this art adventure is
Sharon's Crop Studio..in Greenwood Indiana.
*
I'll call Sharon today to get the final class counts,
but I know they were really good...
*
she had to move the classes out of the store to another location to accomodate everyone & to make sure they have enough room to spread out and relax. How COOL!
*
We have poeple flying in from California & Texas...WOW!!!
*
Ok...now it's time to UN-pack all the stuff from last weekend & RE-pack it for Fed-Ex to ship for us.
Indiana or bust...
*
but first...
I'm being kidnapped today...
Rick wants to get a new TV...
why he needs my input is beyond me...
you know I am NOT a techno genius...
My thought...
if it fits on the wall...that's the one we need.
He may have other more technical thoughts...
*
Hey...it's May 5th...Happy Cinco day!!
how about a little giveaway...
or 5?
Just leave a comment...
After tv shopping...
I REALLY want to...
make art!

  2. Yeaaa, Wendy's back! Glad you had a good weekend. Makes it all worth while doesn't it? I am not sure about this TV shopping thing...I don't think it will be art inspiring...'cause I know you won't be making a flower as BIG as the new TV! lol Anyway, making art is good...get busy!

  3. LOL Have a great day xx

  5. Good luck with the tv hunt! I am trying to revamp my studio so before I can play, I have to straightem a bit. Heading up to Eau Claire now to have lunch with my youngest baby girl, Savanna. Will have to hit a couple craft stores too I imagine.

  9. have fun TV shopping with your hubby. That is something that we are going to need to do soon. Not looking forward to it.

  10. How fun to walk into that fabulous store and see yourself as the center attraction - and so well deserved, Wendy. Your art ROCKS! And I totally agree with you - if the t.v. fits the space - buy it. If I dragged my hubby to a craft store for his "input" into my purchases, I think he might find a padded room for me to craft in. HA!

  11. Happy Cinco de Mayo. Glad you are back p hope there is a post tomorrow of some new art...never sure why those boys want us to go electronics shopping with them...I am with you...if it fits in the space it works for me! Off to clean my studio space for one hour and then make art for one hour before I head off to one of my many jobs. Hels tales of packing and moving have inspired me to get a little better organized....one hour at a time. Looking forward to seeing new art and thanks for the giveaway...

I need to take your advice to "make art" more often. I always feel happier when I spend some time in the studio. Just playing around, I find mistakes aren't mistakes at all, but the foundation of something unique. Happy TV shopping!

  28. A new tv? Wow! We have 2 newish ones - flat screens with HD. Love them!!! Getting a new camera this week so I can take better pics of my art. I told one of the IN stampers that the store would most likely have to move their class location based on past classes. More stampers, more art, more fun! Woohoo! CathyY is a newbie!

I made the mistake of leaving it to John ... he likes to check out all 900 options before he buys and quite frankly life is too short ... the TV arrived ... box was the size of a single bed ... it fits on the wall ... all 52 inches of it ... but only just :0)

  69. Nailing jelly to a tree is easier and more fun than TV shopping!! and it does not stop with the TV, be warned, you then need a new matching stand, then the DVD player is not compatible so you need one of those too, then you need HDMI cables (believe me I am just regurgitating information here, I understand none of it) followed by Scart to Scart sockets etc. etc....give me ink and grungepaper any day. Good luck with it x

Instead of going out for margaritas, we're staying at home and making enchiladas. Wendy, I sure hope you come to teach in AZ in the near future. I personally can't afford to fly to a class in Indiana, but I would if I could Wendy. Your worth it without a doubt. Happy Hump Day!
