stencil storage , GIVEAWAY & shipping update...

today I'm sharing the back cover of
I use this binder to store my stencils &
keep them organized...

below you'll see Megan again,
combined with some new things & some from past releases...

one reason I was so happy to
FINALLY get
was the option to use them
on larger art parts...

art parts, like this set
that holds the smaller stamp sets &

you can color all 4 sides of the binders
in under 5 minutes...

art parts can certainly be inked with distress ink & the blending tool...

or...

use the sprays to make it
 super quick & E A S Y...

for my covers, I
misted them with the stains & I was done in 3.5 SECONDS...
seriously...

just dry the stain, then add shading to the edges with the blending tool...

& broken china spray stain as my base colors

are extra awesome on larger art parts...
in addition to being quick, they give beautiful smooth coverage & several colors can be sprayed to blend before drying...
they might look blotchy when sprayed onto art parts, because they are wetting the paper surface, but as they dry...
PERFECTION!

you'll see the new "borders" stencil
used 2 ways...
at the top of the cover, I inked thru the stencil just once, using sky blue archival ink...

same stencil at the bottom, but with leaf green, red geranium & sky blue...

I started at the bottom & used sky blue, then repositioned the stencil to mask off the blue inked areas & then added red geranium...
then moved the stencil up to cover the red geranium & added the leaf green...

I stopped at 3 rows, but you could easily continue the pattern to make a large multi colored background or fill the whole front of a card...

in any colors you choose!

or...
you can stamp thru the stencil to add text or polka dots on just one row...

or...

you can add embossing paste to just one row for a cool textured border...

these days I'm addicted to
and it would also be cool to use
to accent just one stenciled row
& allow the color to show thru...

there's lots of possibilities with

LOVE the large sentiment from an earlier release...
combined with a new one...

the heart was cut from

the black heart is embossed

after the powder cooled, I added
to the center, with the new remnant rub tool...

you'll also see subtle text (LCS037 botanical art) stamped in the background with watering can archival...

Megan was stamped with jet black archival, onto newsprint that was added to
the clear version of
with glue n seal...
then I cut her out...

I used fern green with the sunburst stencil, to give her a halo effect...

I changed the flower in her hair & used just the flower from this stamp...

the flower was stamped twice onto CFA that is covered with newsprint...

after heating the CFA, the flower can be shaped for dimension...
I LOVE this adhesive foam for layering & for adding CFA to projects...
and it's black,
so it's not noticeable between the layers...

oh...that little butterfly...
stenciled onto CFA newsprint & cut out to create a custom embellishment...
it's attached to Megan with the tiny attacher...

the stencil binder comes with a medium ring,
but as your stencil collection grows,
just change the ring to a larger size...
the binder will grow & can hold as many stencils
as fit on any size ring...

new for CHA W14... day #5...

it's the finale for my new products today…
phew…day #5…
it's just about time to head to Anaheim…

thankfully, our road commissioner got here & removed the 5 feet of snow from our road…I was in panic mode for a few hours…
we were trapped here in Illinois & CHA is in California…

YIKES! living in the country is great most days…but some days…not so much!

please know how much I appreciate your enthusiasm for my new products…
some of you sound as excited as I am…

a MILLION THANKS for your comments, emails & Facebook postings…

please do save some $$$ for groceries! haha!  you'll need energy to…
make art!

I'm thrilled that you're excited about SiSi…
trust me on this one…these will change the way you make cards…
SiSi opens the door for lots of possibilities…

today is about art parts and storage…

when I started designing stamps back in 2008, I wanted people to like & buy my stamps…obviously…duh…

but it was really important to me that they got USED… not just purchased, then tossed into a drawer or box & forgotten...

so the storage sheets for my stamps have holes, which allows you to easily flip thru them like a book, choose the image you want, ink it & put it back on the storage sheet…

I thought it would be fun to have covers, so back in 2009 I designed 2 acrylic covers…

a large 3 hole, which holds the large LCS stamp sets…
and a 2 hole which holds the smaller SCS sets...

now with the addition of the crackled texture paste, I thought it would be REALLY SUPER fun to change the covers to art parts material…
and guess what?

this also cut the price in half…
yippee!
THANK YOU AGAIN TED!

art parts are the PERFECT surface for the embossing/texture pastes…
or distress ink, stain, paint, spray inks or archival inks…

these art parts covers can easily be covered with paper too…
you can stamp on them & heat emboss them too…
they are a great alterable surface...

here's the page from the catalog…
with 3 new art parts covers...

first up…the perfect storage for your collection of studio 490 stencils…

there are 2 covers & a 1 inch binding ring in the package…

as your collection grows, just change the ring to a large size & it can hold LOTS of stencils, since the covers are separate...

I used the crop-a-dile to put a hole in the top left corner of all my stencils…
it keeps the stencils organized & so easy to flip thru…
simple & effective...

this is the stencil binder...

this next one does triple duty…

if you've been seeing my new large art journal pages, this is the cover I designed for them…

my pages are cut to 8 ½ inches x 6 inches…large & so fun...

I LOVE making my own journal pages from whatever surface I want…
specialty stamping paper, manila cardstock, watercolor paper etc…

I find it very freeing to know that if the page turns out UGLY, I can toss it in the trash & there's no evidence left!

I also love the ability to work on flat pages…

so this art journal cover set is a great art journal & it is also perfectly sized to hold my smaller SCS stamp sets…

you get 2 strong art parts covers & 2 giant binding rings…
with these rings, you can store 12  stamp sets in this binder…

when using it for my art journal, I just switched out the giant rings to smaller rings…
this is cool too, because as I get more pages completed, I can easily change out to larger rings to fit hundreds of pages in this cover set…
hundreds? I HOPE SO!

you'll see that I used the new crackled texture paste on the catalog sample...

I'll show you the 3rd way to use this binder below...

next is the large art parts storage binder…the perfect house for your collection of the large LCS studio 490 sets…

the package contains 2 large art parts covers & 3 giant binding rings...

this binder for the package insert was altered with distress inks, archival inks, stenciling, stamping and a fun collage…

see the umbrella stencil?
it's stenciled onto clearly for art & it's dimensional...

now we have some new things that NEED a home…

I wanted a convenient way to store the new SiSi stamps and the 12 large background stamps…

tada...

we now have sets of blank white storage sheets perfectly sized to fit the large & small binders…

3 of each in a package...

the background & the SiSi stamps just cling to them & are organized with easy access...

I like the small pages for the SiSi stamps…you can even add these pages to the back of your small stamp storage binder…that way you need only one binder…

or…use them in the large binder, with the background stamps & only need one binder for these loose stamps...

the large pages store 2 of the large individual background stamps on each side…

so a package of 3 pages will store all 12 large background stamps…

for me if it's convenient, I WILL USE THEM…

the sturdy white pages look like this…
same thick plastic-ish material as the stamp storage sheets, but with no images…
making both sides useable...

so that's it for CHA W 14…

new stamps, new INKS, new stencils, new crackled texture paste, new SiSi's and new art parts storage binders/art journal cover...

again…I sincerely appreciate your support, friendship & sharing in this very fun time…

I'll do my best to post photos from CHA on Facebook or Twitter …

and I'll be sharing lots of tutorials & photos when I return…

be good…take care & tell me what you think…

don't forget to USE those supplies to…

make art!
wendy
ps…from the bottom of my heart…
THANK YOU!
