label it art...

let the GIVEAWAY continue!
Rick LOVES mailing packages...
it's job security for the head of shipping & receiving!

today's set is called label it art...

this set has lots of fun stamps, that I reach for often...
the labels are a perfect fit for tim's corked vials...

the "serum of art" was designed to fit the new large bottle art part...

and I like it because there are lots of elements that can be used alone...

and a few photos, for a better look...

take note of the seal on the art parts bottle...
just a tiny strip of Ranger's Memory Foil Tape adds the perfect little detail...

and another look @ the labels...

this time I used the tape to add detail to the paintbrush stamp...
it's @ the far left, under the ink bottle...

OK...sorry...sounds like I left out one vital statistic from yesterday's post...

the size of the box used to store ALL my distress stains...
it's 8 3/4 inches square...
it fits the stains perfectly & still has room for a few misters...

here's my very BEST storage tip...

toss the packaging...

when I first started "making art"...
I kept everything IN the packages...
I like nice, neat...organized...
30 years in surgery does that to a person...

then as I collected more & more supplies, I needed a way to gain more space...

the day I tossed ALL the packaging, I'd bet that I tripled my storage space...

this photo shows 12 of tim's ring binders in the original packaging on the right...

and on the left, in a little container with the packaging all gone...

it's a HUGE difference...
try it...
you'll see...

now about yesterday's stamp winner...

congrats to...

I see that Lori just announced another challenge this morning...
check it out...
play along...

I pop in & every once in a while and a random participant gets a prize from Lori or from me...

there is TONS of inspiration in the files too...
they are a really nice talented bunch!

we'll draw a random winner tomorrow @ 7am...

thanks for all your sweet comments...
you make me happy!

toss the packaging...

and then...

make art!

Love the samples today - still haven't invested in art parts but the more I see the more I want! One question, is there a special binder to store the Studio 490 stamps in? I tried a regular 3 ring binder I had at home but the stamp cover is too long.

I am an organize freak too -- I will take things out of the package but tend to stash the packaging away for future use, so far, haven't used much!

Fabulous stamps!
Hmmm...I think tossing some packaging is good but some of the packaging can make fabulous embellishments too! I would say "cautiously" toss the packaging LOL

It's always in the details...one of your stamps but something I strongly believe in. One little detail can make a piece of art jump to a work of art. Love all these new sets...want them anyway I can get them...lol!

Love the variety of stamps in this set. I can think of so many uses for them all, especially the labels! Thanks for the storage tips - what a great find and fit your oak box was. I have a couple of Tim's tin paint dauber storage boxes (no longer available) that will hold 20 of the stain bottles perfectly too.

Throwing packaging away is so freeing. Although I do still keep some of the plastic for projects. It's that recycler in me. LOL

Great set, love the samples. Your organizing tips were soo welcomed! I am a hoarder of packaging and need to consolidate better.

Another great stamp set! I was just like you, keeping all the packaging at first, but now I toss some and keep some for projects!

I adore these labels!

I totally agree about throwing away the packaging. I finally realized that with all the Idea-ology I bought. lol. Problem is, how is it that I'm still running out of space? Oh yeah, I keep buying....lol..
Thanks so much for shamelessly plugging the group, very much appreciated, and I hope folks will play along!

Thanks for picking me!!!!
I love today's sample and this is another must have set. And have it I will!
Like so many of the previous commenters, I do take everything out of the packaging. Trouble is, I also save the packaging.
Let's face it, we are collectors and experts in turning trash to treasure. That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it.

LOL! After I saw your cool box yesterday, I actually went to look at my Distress Stains to see if I could figure out what size the box was. Love cool, old boxex like that.

Congrats to "eyeleeeen" on her win. Sounds like she really needed yesterday's givaway, so I'm happy she got it.

I love that you and Tim both have come out with these tiny stamps this past CHA show for the little bottles and what not. It makes them that much cuter when you use them on all the little embellishments. I'd love to win "Label it Art". I really would, I use a lot of tiny little things too and that's why.

Wendy I have to say that I really adore your style. One of the things that I love the best is that you don't have one completed project using your Art Parts and stamps that I couldn't look at and not know that it was yours. I want that for myself one day, I want people to be able to look at something of mine and know automatically that I made it.

michelle said...

I am going to toss my package just for you! Not sure I can because how will I know what I have . . . okay here I go!

Nice post! This room looks like my mom's room 'cause she had all kind of things like needles, yarns and machines for making things.
