catching up, a cover, CHA and a CONTEST!

catching up on details...

I spoke with Ted last night...Mr Stampers Anonymous...
the new stamps are made & will start shipping January 28th.
They're sent out in the order they are received...
YIPPEE!

He's in California already...he reminded me to bring an umbrella...yuck...

He said my book will ship mid February...so not too long of a wait.
another...YIPPEE!

Did I tell you that the cover is much heavier this time??

Ted also said that the photography is REALLY good...

he saw the book for the first time last night...

I'll get a copy either tonight or possibly on Saturday.
Even though I know what's in it...
I'm dieing to see the final...

I finished the 2 new acrylic storage binders...
they're a fun project...
Here's the first...
new papers from tim's new idea-ology release...

For the second, I used some (items) that tim hasn't shown yet...

so I can't show the second one today...

But it will be up early tomorrow morning...
it's a totally different style...

Several have asked if any of the new stamps come wood mounted...

YES, some do...I think we chose about 18 or maybe 20...
I'm old & that was a while ago...so I forgot! The Stampers Anonymous web site will have them listed, but not until after CHA...

Ok contest details...

We'll keep it simple...

just choose your favorite set...or...if you already have an idea for a specific stamp, I'd LOVE to hear what you have to say...how you plan to use it...

They're all shown in the previous post.

So...just leave a comment on this post and that will be your entry ticket...
one per person...

Now here's the deal...
more comments.. equals...
more prizes...

I'll send out a prize for each 25 comments received...

so 50 comments equals 2 prizes...
100 would be 4...

2,000 would be...YIKES!! REALLY A LOT of prizes!

Want to see the whole Maya Road catalog and more eye candy?
Check here...

Gotta run...
take care...
have fun & I'll be back next Friday to announce the winners...

and HOPEFULLY...

post some photos...

I WILL try my best!

Check in on Saturday, if you want to see the (blue) binder.

remember...
Make art!

ps...leave a comment...
I got some GOOD stuff to send!

Wow Wendy wonderfully wonderous stamps! I would pick from the "smalls" Homemade (there really is no place like home!) and Fashion Style. From the "bigs" I would choose Just Sew and Well Worn (houndstooth-what can I say just the name of it cool). But they are ALL FAB!

Wow so many great sets to choose from....love the "Let Your Have Wings" set....simply beautiful!

Bethany said...

I love them all...must I choose? I really like how realistic the stiches are in the "Sew Artsy" set, so I would pick that one.

Oh Wendy,
The find your style stamp set reminds me so much of my mother. I've been wanting to do a remembrance album about her and this stamp set will be perfect! I love them all, but I have to have Well Worn Art and Rose Art part 2. They are just fabulous! Praying that it stops raining for you in California!

Seriously, just 1 favorite? It's like being asked to name your favorite child (most days) or your favorite chocolate. Just can't be done. I will, however, name the first couple sets I'm planning to buy (alphabetically, of course since there are no favorites). They would be "Just Sew Artsy", "Love to Make Art", "Rose Art Part 2", and "Well Worn Art". Thank goodness all this arty goodness happens in such close proximity to (we hope) tax RETURN time. If the taxman giveth enough, I may not have to wait too long for the rest!
Have a wonderful CHA and thanks for the endless inspiration.

I absolutely LOVE the Fashion set.....my daughter is interested in sewing and design, so I'd love to make her a custom idea/sketch book, and that set is PERFECT!

Erin Glee said...

It was a hard choice, but I think "It's About Face" is my number ONE! (You cracked me up with your "bite me" comment about the lips!) I love the leaf-vine border on that set, too~ it's all great!
Hope you are having a wonderful timw at CHA!

My favorite is the set with the bottle. I can just imagine all the fun things I could put inside...images of people, pets, bugs, butterflies...the possibilities are endless!!

Shoogles said...

They are all just gorgeous stamp sets. Though the Love to Make Art set is the more adorable one.

Colleen C said...

It is so hard to pick a favorite. All of your stamps are so wonderful! If I have to select one favorite I think the Love to Make Art set would be it. The primitive style heart is really a great image!

Definitely Art Inspiration for my favorite. All of your art and stamps inspire me Wendy. In fact I finally finished my apron and my bulletin board from the Mexico cruise. I also made up my own Studio 490 stamp holder. Every part inspired by your art and stamps. I'd love to share them with you!

Katherine said...

All the stamp sets are fantastic. If I had to choose just 1 it would be the fashion style and art set. What you did with the blouse on the Maya Road site was inspiring.

Chris said...

Like everyone else, way too hard to pick just one but since you are sitting on me, I have to pick the sewing ones and I would use them for all my gal pals in the guild with cards and what nots to trade and secret surprises. Thanks for the try. Good Luck to everyone! Love your art!

Wow! I can't pick a favorite! They're all great. I love the faces esp the one with the writing and crown. Or how about the eyes! Would love to make larger roses. (I've made several with your other set)

A few days ago I bought multiple (yes multiple) sets of your stamps. Couldn't afford it but did it anyway. Now there are so many more to buy, so little money!

Thanks for the preview! Great job
Barbara

Mimi2six said...

I'm supposed to pick one? I honestly can't do that, I like something about all of them, I can say that if I had the money I would buy all of them. Since I'm not able to do that, I think that the first set I will purchase is hmmm, wow this is hard, let's see... Rose Art by a nose! I will purchase Wordart and Well Worn sets soon...oh what the heck, I think I'll quit drinking Coke's and get all three with the money saved. They are all super, great job!!! Thanks so much, I hope you're having a blast at CHA.

Chelle said...

My shopping list is; art inspiration, fashion style and art, just sew artsy, well worn art, be inspired ..... make art, rose art part 2 and let your art have wings. Can't wait for them to get here in the UK along with your new book. I'm particularly excited about all the sewing related things coming out, so many things buzzing around in my head. Homemade art - the possiblities I see are documenting a home building, or home remodel, using in a housewarming gift....just some thoughts right off the top of the head! All the stamps sets have wonderful possibilities!

Elizabeth Taylor said...

My favorite is Let Your Art Have Wings - the bird and the leaf. Would love to have them all though. Thanks for all the inspiration.

pta4him said...

I think I like the hearts best but I really like the word art too. Oh, yeah, there's also....OK they're all great. It's actually easier to knock out the few sets that aren't exactly my style.

OMG I just love the set with the house. I have seen several 'house' sets creeping onto the scene but this one tops the lot! Love, love, love it.

Anonymous said...

Eye Candy!! The MUST sets for me would be
Homemade Art-the house is awsome!!
Fashion style and Art-drooling
Just Sew Artsy- the stiching lines would be perfect for ANY type of project!
Well worn Art

I can see these sets used from anything, from cards to scrapbook pages to mini-books you get the point! You can use them for ANYTHING!!

I cannot wait to play with them!!

KAT said...

Choose one - I had to think about this since you posted it... I think the one I am really in love with is the Let's Make Face Art... The face (especially with the text background), leaves and ticket now there is a well rounded stamp set! You could create some many things with the variety of images on this one set...

I am ready for you to come back from CHA and share some pics with us - did they make a video of you again this year?

Jill said...

Oh my! I love background stamps. . .love the "sewing" one and esp. the shopping saying--too funny. But I have to say the house is part of a current plan and would be useful first and foremost--family heritage album

Scrap for Joy said...

I love all of the sets and spent a long time going back and forth and enlarging the pictures to read every word. Homemade Art and An Eye for Art are my top two but I would be happy to find any of them in my studio. Can't wait to see your pictures from CHA. Joyce

Hi Wendy - I only discovered your wonderful work a few weeks ago, and instantly ordered your Book and the Natures Art stamp set from Simon Says. Also bought some Maya Road shapes and Grunge Paper - you've opened up a whole new crafting experience for me and I'm thoroughly enjoying it!!
I will be buying your new book ASAP, and another stamp set - love all the new ones, but I would probably go for the Rose Art Part 2 set. Thanks for all your inpsiration.

Oh I found two extremly cute stamp sets among all those wonderful creations of yours. My favourites are "home made art" and "just sew artsy".It is your fault that I had to decide - they are all so beautiful and now I sit here and don´t know whether my decicision was right :-))

Pick just one? Heck no.....love them all! It's just like a Lay's potato chip...can't eat just one. But if I have to I would say I really am digging the fashion style and art set.

Your new stamps are all fabulous. Difficult decision but I think my favourite is Rose Art part 2 followed closely by Be Inspired and Let your art have wings. However, if I were to be one of the lucky ones any of the stamps would be given a wonderful happy home and much love.
