You can use the paste to create any type of textured backgrounds or surfaces. On a collograph plate that I created, I used gesso modeling paste in the foreground to simulate a grassy looking field in a landscape using a toothpick to apply skinny swipes of modeling paste. The effect was successful in that when I printed the plate you got the feel that the foreground of the landscape was organic and grassy looking. Paste has so many endless possibilities!!
