Q & A's...and a preview...

I never get sick...
Rick said the last time was probably 15 years ago...

but, I caught THE CRUD, that's going around...
and it won't go away!

Rick was way worse...
his turned into pneumonia...

but he thinks he's finally on the mend...
PHEW!

***when I started dating,
my mother once told me that KISSING is fun,
but it can lead to major problems
that was the extent of sex education in our home...***

seriously...100% FACT!

I *THINK* I'm seeing what she meant...
this is ALL HIS FAULT!

anyway...
this is my excuse for the links I omitted from yesterday's post...
snot filled head/lungs...

sorry...

here's the questions from yesterday...

#1...Blogger Beejay said...
QUESTION...

What is the black flower on? Paper on foam?

Love this whole project and love the painting technique!

A...the flower is an art parts flower...from this package...
it has LOTS of fun art parts & the set is called
I painted it black before embossing it...
to add the embossing ink, I used the
new-ish embossing dabber...it's VERY convenient...
#2...Blogger sue said...
QUESTION...

I know you and Tim are so excited about the new paints, but I
have not had good luck with the dobber tops. Even when I
store them upside down, they still get dry and gunky. Can
you give me any advice before I spend the money on them.

A...Sue...this question came up at CHA & the answer is that
the new distress paints do not have a filler in them...
so that means there is no way for the dabber top to clog up.
these paints are very fluid...so fluid that I DO NOT store them
upside down. just shake, turn them over & they are ready to go...
if you have a problem with the Adirondack dabbers, you can
mist the dabber with water...
you can unscrew the lid & add a bit of water & stir with a craft stick.
if that doesn't fix the issue, Ranger has excellent customer
service...just email them & send photos of the dabbers in
question...

QUESTION...

This is lovely Wendy! I particularly like the sentiment -
please could you tell me which stamp set it's from? I don't
have any of the paints yet, so will have to save up for some.

A...oops...sorry about that! it's from the set called
HEIRLOOM ART...click on the name & you'll see the whole set...
#4 came in an email & it's a frequent question, so I thought I would include it here...
QUESTION...

Do I have your permission to use your stamps and art parts to make items to sell for our community fundraiser?

A... this involves the "ANGEL POLICY" that is right from Stampers Anonymous...

the policy says...

NO MECHANICAL OR ELECTRONIC REPRODUCTION. HAND STAMP ONLY.

so can you HAND STAMP 50,000 T-Shirts to sell? YES! good luck with that!

can you scan the images into your computer, then print them on to items for sale...NO!

can you digitally change the size of images to reprint? NO!

can you HAND STAMP on art parts & then sell the finished art? YES!

HAND STAMP are the 2 key words...

this policy applies to any stamps manufactured by Stampers Anonymous/Art Gone Wild...

that means that the same policy applies to tim's stamps, Inky Antics, Darcies, Art Gone Wild...same family...same policy...

it's always best to ask the stamp company before you get started...
you don't want the art cops at your door!

******************

the next post will be about altering my Blossom Bucket pieces with distress products...

I'll share how to change this Blossom Bucket cutie...

perfect right from the package...

it looks GREAT on kraft card stock with black stamping under it...
or on a black base...

to any custom color your art requires...
like this...

or this...

and this works on most of my Blossom Bucket trinkets...

stay tuned...

the moral of this post?

mom was right...
you'll get into WAY more trouble *kissing* than...

mak(ing) art!
wendy
ps...
don't forget the sale code at simon says...

WENDY25 gets you 25% off all my stamps!

Thank you for the answer to my question Wendy. I've looked at the link for the Heirloom Art stamp set and really like the whole set, including the lovely background. It's out of stock at SSS at the moment, but I shall definitely be looking out for this set when I attend a stamp show here in the UK next month.
