I got a date...

with a GENIUS @ the Apple store today!!
Yippee...
I'm excited...

YOU ALL ARE ENABLERS...
hmmm...is this possibly a payback?

Seriously, I appreciate your input & THANKS for taking the time to comment & send emails.

I'll let you know how it goes...

When I made the appointment I told the gal that I am OLD & ILLITERATE & that I REALLY needed a patient Genius...

She laughed...
little did she know that I'm 100% serious...

I HOPE the poor guy survives...I AM a nurse, so I still remember CPR!

Ok...here's my TIP OF THE DAY for you...

I'm always saying...
look @ the possibilities...

what COULD this be??

So, when I got the cute Sizzix "on the edge" cutting pads...
guess what I saw???

ACRYLIC BLOCKS FOR STAMPING!!!

They are an AWESOME size...thinking borders...
they are sturdy...
with a GREAT price...less than $3 for a LARGE block??AMAZING!
and...
they are a PERFECT fit for some studio 490 stamps...

just sayin...a little plug for studio 490...

and a reminder that tim's FRAGMENTS are GREAT for cling /clear stamps too...

I especially LOVE the largest square fragment in the set...
and the small ones are PERFECT for mini stamps...

LOTS of block choices in the package...

Ok...gotta run & get dressed for my date...

I hope you can take time this weekend to...
make art!

Good luck with your "apple Picking!"
Hmmm funny...you know what I see? Drill two holes in the top and add some cool chain some alcohol inks some stamps, some flowers (OF COURSE) and I see a cool acrylic hanging piece of art! LOL

Wendy, you will just love the Customer Support you get from Apple. I have been wanting to change back to Apple for some time and I'm afraid that if you like yours it will push me over the edge. My PC was a lot cheaper, but I have spent so much removing viruses that I could have had an Apple. Never again. Gee, you have saved me so much money with your little tips, it may not take me long to save for a new one. Thanks for the acrylic block suggestions, I never would have thought... Also commenter #1, great idea!!! Marijane

Always fun in the "Apple Store" :)
Love the Cutting Mat idea! I've used the fragments before but that sizzix stuff is wonderful!! Must try that today - ":just cause"! hehe Thanks for the tip!

So glad you are taking a bite out of the apple. I'll be interested to know how you like it. My brand new Toshiba died after I returned from Indy. I had had it just a little over a month . . . bummed!

Let me know how it goes at the store. I should do that too in order to maximize my usage of the Mac. I too am older and am not too techie of a person.

Wendy, Apples "One-to-One" program is great for us mature learners. They sit down with you and your computer and walk you through everything. They were also my back door entry for technical help that was not necessarily listed in the curriculum. Well worth the price.

I couldn't talk my husband into a mac!... but the apple folks are great! I too am old, and my ipod and I have disagreements sometimes. To the rescue...the Apple Store Techs...thank goodness!!

Hmmm...apple orchards...love fall but right now I'm digging the great colors of summer as I create my beautiful outdoor palette with mulch, flowers, veggies, birds and bees. After today I'll have time to make art inside while enjoying the view from my windows. Have a great weekend!!!

I know you're having fun with the Apple! I use my "c" plate from my cuttlebug for YOUR background stamps all the time. I didn't have a block large enough and the c plate was just sitting there one day in plain sight or I wouldn't have thought of it!

Fabby idea for those plates, would never have thought of using them as blocks! Thanks ever so for your lovely comment on me blog.. bless ya, I have such fabby taste in stamp though don't I? :O)) So, how did you get on with the Mac guy? Actually, that sounds like it could be a burger ROFL Am off before I really start to show my mad tendencies! Have a great day hun xx

You're gonna love making the transition to the Mac world. I got my iMac in January 2009 and I love it. My daughter lent me one of her Macbooks this spring so I'm now a two-fisted Mac user!! I just wish Apple would change their contract for the iphone. Enjoy!!
