studio 490 day #3 REVEAL...

today, I want to show you some of my favorite things...

you guessed right...

FLOWERS!

let start with some hot off the press rubber...

this set is called...

MY KIND OF ART...

we have a new  ROSE...
this works well with the rose leaves we already have,
giving them a fresh new look...

you'll see in the sample below that again I heat embossed the leaves & the rose too, then used tim's distress markers to add the color & shading...

the rose is also a new ART PART...
the art part is just the flower, not the stem...
so we can use it like this...

making it easy to use on cards/tags...

FRAGILE
HANDLE WITH CARE...
good for lots of projects & mail art too...

never send a naked envelope...

LOVE LOVE REALLY LOVE
THE FLOURISHES...

they can be stamped in any direction...

here's the start of a project...
they're stamped on the

next is THE PITCHER...
it's a stamp with a
2 piece coordinating ART PART...

the bottom layer has a center opening & the top art part is solid...
that allows us to add things to the open spot in the pitcher...
I LOVE that it glues nice & flat,
NO POP DOTS are needed
& it looks finished when viewed from the side...

I've stamped it, then used the distress stains to color it...
for some samples &

I also like it this way...
using the paint dabbers creates a vintage looking pewter effect...
and coordinates with THE PLACE SETTING I showed
in an earlier post...

there are 3 sayings at the bottom of the storage sheet...

BE KIND OF HEART

SAVOR THE MOMENT
this will be fun for scrapbooking photos,  art journaling & smash books...

and

LOOK TO YOUR HEART FOR THE ANSWER
hmmm..are there hearts coming to use with these?
I *thing so*...

now moving on to some brand new
BLOSSOM BUCKET BEAUTIES...

here we have
ROSES...

there are 2 sizes...

they work well with the ROSE stamp above...
that way we can use just the leaves & stem...

use the ROSES as is...
add distress stickles...
or a bit of Perfect Pearls
or add distressing to the edges with archival ink...

I LOVE THESE...

and we have a new MUM...

the detail on this guy is AMAZING...

it works with ART PARTS stems/flourishes we already have...
and LOTS more options...

the ART CHICK thought she should wear it...

BETTY could not be outdone,
so she's wearing the ROSE...

the title of the stamp set really fits...

this is...
MY KIND OF ART!

THANKS for your comments & emails...
I'm HAPPY to hear you are liking these as much as I am...

stay cool &

make ART!
wendy
ps...see you tomorrow for day #4...

I gotta get new eyes! At first glance I saw Betty Boop...the flourish looks like eyes and hair and the pitcher made me think of a body. Sheesh. Maybe I need more coffee??? These will be great additions (as they are and not as I see them) to your collection!
