inks follow-up...

thanks so much for all the comments on the last inky blog post...

I'm happy to answer questions & I'm really happy that I could help clarify some ink properties...

here's one more question,
prompted by the last post...

"Do we save the plastic cover on the Glacier White pad or is it for shipping purposes only?"

it's called a vapor barrier & it's there to help keep the pad moist...
so save it!

it IS an annoying little critter,
but it serves a valuable purpose...
keeping the pad moist...

one other bit of info...
don't pop dot it to the lid, like I did...
that doesn't allow it to sit ON the pad & do it's job...

and one more thing...
yikes...once I start talking about inks, I can't quit...

pigment pads need to be reinked
more often than
distress or archival pads...

so...you will want to have
for sure!

if you already have the snow cap white pad, it IS the same as glacier white...
same exact formulation...
just a name change & rebranding...

ok...
moving on to the winner of these...

congrats to...

Thank you for clarifying the inks - I know it's hard since so
many "rules" only work sometimes :)

we'll see how much happens in that short play period...

It is so very tempting to throw out that plastic clear cover... and unfortunately, I learned the lesson the hard way years ago by tossing one. Congrats to Christi!

What a difference the paper makes! This sheet looks more like you applied Distress Inks with the blending tool. I never would've guessed it was the alcohol technique!
