ready for some cha project photos??

Ok...here they are...

But first, a WARNING!!

NO VINTAGE PHOTO was used on this landscape binder...or any of the pages!

I KNOW...
It's SHOCKING...

I look @ this & wonder who made it...

First, the cover with another version of the altered trinkets blossom...

A better look @ the flower...It's fun to stamp on the buttons...

This was fun...I embossed only the center of the page and left the sides plain...I like the look...

More houses...

Another page...

It's hard to tell, but I stitched the bottom of the felt blossom & pulled the stitch tight to gather the flower. Now it's smaller & altered...

More embossing...

The tiny butterfly is a Maya Road stamp...stamped on grungeboard & cut out. I love the dimension it adds...good thing I have bifocals!

This was a really fun page...I like the long skinny legs on the bird. If you look closely, the flower stem is made with 2 photo turns, left over from the mini 3 tab book...

Another style of altered trinkets blossom. The wings are grungeboard, painted with metallic crackle paint. The finishing touch was pitch black pigment ink. I rubbed it into the cracks to highlight them & to tone down the metallic look.

I don't sew...only on paper...but I wanted to do a quilt like page.

Getting to the end........

And Rick said.........

The metal corners are Maya Road thick photo edges...
So there you have it. A ton of photos. This baby took me about a week to complete. I'm very slowwwwwwwwwww...
***
And no...........there are no new studio 490 stamps on this! ha!
All the emails from my last post made me laugh. NOPE no new studio 490 stamps there either...
But.........I PROMISE YOU...
SOON!!
VERY SOON!!
***
There's still plenty on the CHA TO-DO list, so I better get in there and...
Make Art...
Thanks for stopping by!

stamp talk...

On to 2 more pages of the "my collections" album.

One of the other things that I collect is rubber stamps with the word ART. I can spot an ART stamp miles away!

Here's page 2 of the spread...loaded with Maya Road goodies...and a little crackle paint on the number.

And speaking of STAMPS... a little more about studio 490 stamps...

There are 7 "sets" total...and each set has a name...I used ART in each of the "set" names. See how this ties to the above??

I mentioned earlier that all the sets will be the cling mounted style....HOWEVER......Michelle said yesterday that they chose 17 to be available wood mounted too. So yesterday my job was to name those 17 stamps individually, so that they can be found in the catalog.... FUN.

And...wait 'til you see the white storage sheets and the storage album..ALBUM??

YEP...Hopefully they are on the way here for me to see too.

Michelle was happy with the (grungy) samples I sent..YIPPEE...and they have been photographed for the catalog and for the website too. Now they'll be packaged up & sent to Chicago for display in the Art Gone Wild/Stampers Anonymous booth, #3035. I'll probably faint when I see them there...never in my wildest dreams did I expect this...sniff...sniff... get me a kleenex!!

Ok...I'm done...

I hope your holiday "sparkles"...get it?
ENJOY!
wendy
ps..oops.......one more "stamp" thing...check out the grungy tag @ Darkroom Door. Rachel's stamps are great fun for grungeboard.

Finally...I scored THE Crackle Paint!!

We had a very fun bunch of gals yesterday for the canvas class. There were some new faces in the group and some friends from past classes. Thanks to everyone for coming!! I hope you all had fun. And, as requested...I will be back after Ranger U to share all the juicy details and to show some fun new techniques too.
We did a mini demo of the Distress pads, made the canvas project, shared some laughs, shared some great food and then we SHOPPED!! Imagine that!! Lots of us got this to die for Distress Crackle Paint. The shipment arrived Thursday & we sure made a big dent in the inventory. I was up @ 4:30 AM...visions of sugar plums in my head...no!!! Crackle Paint! GEEZ!!
Let the playing begin!!
Wendy
ps...Go BEARS!!
EDITED: HA! Look @ the top 2 jars. DUH...2 tea dyes. I told you I was excited!!

WOW!!! 2 posts in one day!!!

And the reason for this post is the photo above. The official countdown begins today. Only 10 more sleeps before it begins. From what I hear, it's quite an international cast of characters. There are a few of us from the US and the others in the group are from the UK, Scotland, Ireland, Canada and Sweden. We even have a celebrity in the group! GREAT products, a factory tour and 3 days of classes with Tim Holtz and Art Goddess Robin Beam. Can you imagine??????????????
I'm excited!! Got lots to get done before then..........
Wendy
ps...when you visit Robin's blog, make sure you check out the adorable pumpkin made by Caroline Lau. She used Maya Road's chipboard and Ranger's new Distress Crackle Paint. You'll love it!
